The notable and up and coming Emcee from Sao Paulo, Brazil, known to the wider area as Jay P, began his artistic career in music in 2005, and since has taken the Brazilian Hip Hop culture by storm. Infusing his music with modern-day relevant messages about discrimination, love, drugs, reckless abandonment, and friendships, while merging these with transcendental themes such as war and the Amazonia, Jay P has gained international notoriety. Acclaimed for his music which both vibes positivity and alternates between English and Portuguese rhymes, this artist breaks new ground as he goes beyond the traditional rhythm and scheme of Hip Hop, parlaying his music into global territory. Jay P reveals Hip Hop beyond what's promoted on the club circuit, introducing new sounds and techniques. A former member of project "Incentivo Hip Hop" and "Afrika Kidz Crew", Jay P extends the music of Hip Hop to solidify the musical genre-turned-culture into more than just a phenomenon or movement, but a way of life.
