About Me

Growing up on the Northwest of Chicago, J.Mike became heavily involved in music when he was 16 years old. He always wrote music but never really thought he had a future in it. I write as an escape to another world, instead of facing reality, he says. J.Mike eventually started progressing with each song he wrote.

In 2007 he connected with a friend, who has a studio, to record some tracks. I've learned to stay focus and take criticism in a positive way because it will only better my technique, he says. Ever since the summer of 2007 J.Mike has been on his grind. Now two years later he has came out with his first mixtape entitled Da Meal Ticket Volume 1. He is on the right path to pursuing music as a career.
