Hard work and dedication to this music game is an understatement for these artists. Coming from struggle that is unimaginable to most people, these three men bring a new meaning to Dirty South. They Hail from Nettleton, Mississippi. The group consists of C.H.A.N. (formerly known as Bishop) who is the Founder/CEO of Readyet Entertainment along with JB and T-Money. They are F.A.M. and they have signed to Readyet Entertainment. They are ready to ask the world are they Ready Yet? Their gritty sounds mixed with their love for the ladies and respect for the hood all combines into one beautiful musical blend. An original group emerging from Mississippi has never been done with this much swag and charisma. Inspiration for music hit at the tender age of 13. C.H.A.N began his musical career as a poet. Not really thinking that he would become a rapper just used poetry as an outlet to express himself. He became a visionary fuelled with passion at the age of 15, after seeing some of his older cousins begin rapping and formed a group entitled, “Down 4 Lyfe Family”. At first they doubted C.H.A.N, JB and T-Money’s ability because they were so young. So they trio was not allowed to become part of the group. All would have been lost without the love and faith of one Mrs. Rose Buchanan, the elder in the family; she instilled determination, vision, faith and ambition in the young boys. Mrs. Rose pushed them to continue towards their dream. So the three cousins formed the group F.A.M., which stood for three kings. They debuted at a local club in Nettleton, MS, for a talent show. The whole town was there to see the local talents. Down 4 Lyfe and F.A.M. squared off for the first time and F.A.M. came out victorious, debuting an early hit, “Body Rock”. From there the trio continued to push forward using only Karaoke equipment to record cassette tapes and selling them in their local schools for $2.00. All that hard work paid off, when Three-six mafia came to perform in neighboring Tupelo, MS, F.A.M. was asked to perform for opening night. F.A.M. continued to open for other major acts that touched down in Northern Mississippi.
T-Money, C.H.A.N., and JB have been rapping together and continue to be featured on various mixtapes and albums.
C.H.A.N., the visionary kept his ear to music and continued ghost-writing for several artists in the Northeastern Mississippi area. Until 2007, when he teamed up with GiaVonnie to create Readyet Entertainment. An entertainment company that specializes in everything that is music and entertainment: from recording artists, to business consultants, to magazines to books, to song writers, arrangers, and composers even graphic designers. When C.H.A.N. regrouped and re-established himself he went back to Mississippi to get the rest of F.A.M..
Today JB, 25 and T-Money, 25 reside in Northeast Mississippi and C.H.A.N., 25 resides in Atlanta, GA. They are currently working on their first album together in almost six years. They have re-emerged with more determination than ever.
