Juan.
Born Maurice Campbell Jr. 21, in the hip hop Mecca, Bronx NY and raised
on the hard streets of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area, Don Juan
has seen and experienced it all. If it was not for the experience in the
school of hard knocks in the streets this lyrical genius would not have
properly developed into the artist that he is today. Instead of rapping
and making songs about the struggles and pains that he went through, he
would rather uplift and be a positive figure from the hood that loves
woman as well as life. “Im a Momma’s boy and want to glorify the
woman through my music” says Don Juan. “When you hear my music I
want to encourage hope and take all pain away,” he added.
A veteran of 6 years in the rap game, he took his craft very serious
from the start, staying in the studio day and night making this his job.
With over 3,000 songs to date “literally” and learning to run the
studio equipment himself, he has become a true artist.
What is an artist? That’s the million dollar question? Well if an
artist is a studio rat, a songwriter, a performer, someone who can make
a song, a people person, a musician, a vocal arranger, a team player, a
leader, a ladies magnet, a different sound, a certain swagger, and a
listener. Then Don Juan is the artist that has it all.
Having been exposed to the finer life, while being signed to Big Money
Records (Allen Iverson and Demarr Johnson’s independent label) he has
experienced the development of an artist. He has been on numerous red
carpets, interviews, paparazzi, time management, hectic schedules, and
performing in front of hundreds and thousands of people. Doing what he
does best ENTERTAINING. Don Juan recently has been doing studio work
with signed artist from labels such as Cash Money, Warner Bros, Atlantic
Records, Def Jam, Universal and Epic Records. He has been writing as
well as featured. He has also been working with multi-platinum producers
such as Anthony Dent, Polow da Don, and Dark Child Ent. He also has
written for Mariah Carey, Young Jeezy, and Rich Boy.
He has now released his new single “Catwalk,” a cross over record
that has received grave reviews as well as big spins in the areas most
popular clubs. He is superstar bound while still remaining a true friend
to all those who have blessed him. He maintains his ever so present
humble and approachable qualities. He is like no other and “he is one
of a kind” adds one of his fans. Give Don Juan a listen, there is no
