Up and Coming Artist from NYC
Costell born Ricardo Jorge October 16, 1987 in Queens New York has been given the gift of art. He had the ability to draw pictures through music for listeners to envision his own world. In the fall of 1995 he realized he wanted to try and make music aside from everything else he could have been doing at 8 years old when being a rapper wasn't so popular amongst the youth. He caught the ear of an A&R from DuckDown Records in 1996 (who featured artists such as BlackMoon, Helta Skelta, Smith & Wesson and etc.) Due to family issues he was not given the chance to go and perform for the label executive. This was the 1st of many hurtles he had to overcome to reach the level he has reached today. From high school groups such as Stick'Em Up and The AllNitaz he became hungrier through their competition for recognition in this constant changing Hip-Hop culture. At 21 years old he has been seen through out Queens on Mixtapes from DJ Chance "Queens vs. The world" and 2 of his own "It's Been A Decade But I Don't Give a F***!" and "Unrated -N- Raw". With a few spins on college radio stations through DJ Mo Luv. He has a recognizable music video on the popular hip-hop entertainment website, WorldStarHipHop.com, and two other videos on ThisIs50.com. His accomplishments are probably minor in the likes of a big time celebrity but account to those accomplishments he did on his own merits before any type of management. In 2009, it looks like the year he WILL be given his chance to stand tall with the rest of the N.Y.C. legends and pioneers in Hip-Hop history. The page is still under construction cosmetic and music wise for the time being.
