Bo Blitz is bringing back an exciting slice of Old School with singles like ‘Without You.’

By  |

On songs like ‘Without You, Bo Blitz reaches back to the Golden Age of ‘90s and ‘00s hip-hop and R&B – and he brings them into the modern day with a fresh, contemporary, and exciting sound.

Bo Blitz might still be new to many ears, but he already sounds like a seasoned professional on his most recent singles.

The artist, who hails from the Bay Area of San Francisco, has been building a steady reputation for himself throughout the last few years. Having decided that he wanted to pursue a music career seriously, he has worked with some notable Bay Area producers in the previous years, including the likes of Jonathan Moe (Cuban Links), Lil Reece (Tahoe), and Smackz On The Track (Wassup) – who helped him refine his unique sound.

On ‘Without You,’ Bo Blitz sounds immaculate as he teams up with Morgan Mowinski (vocals) and Around The Block (production/publishing). The song is as fresh a summer R&B jam as you’re likely to hear anywhere. Production-wise, it’s stripped back so that we get to listen to the full power of Morgan Mowinski’s sultry vocals, which complement the laidback flow of Bo Blitz himself. He packs a lot into his single verse on the song, with his inventing wordplay coming to the fore.

Few modern rappers know how to make the rap/R&B genres sound this good, but thankfully, Bo Blitz is one of them.
