“BA”
Born and raised in a single parent home on the East side of Syracuse, New York, Erik Williams relied on music as a way to help him escape from hardships. At age eight “BA” began to explore and find his nitch with music by joining the church and schools chiors. Shortly after joining “BA” decided that singing was not the road designed for him. So at age 11 “BA” found another way to express himself, the arts of poetry and disc jockeying. Poetry became “BA's” conduit to his future as a MC, “I use to rap over beats that I had on records (“BA”.)”
During his growing process as an artist, “BA” met a man by the name of T-Cypha. T-Cypha introduced “BA” to a group, that he would later join called “Ghetto Congress.” Shortly after the groups formation, a few members went their own separate ways. However “BA” and T-Cypha continued to make music as a duo, until 2004 when “BA” relocated from Syracuse to Buffalo New York. “When I moved to Buffalo, we couldn't make music how we wanted to (“BA” states.)” Upon his arrival to Buffalo, New York, “BA” met a young man by the name of Khory “Killa Tackz” Hooks, who also had a group called “Sick Vocal Productions, better known as SVP.” “BA” joined SVP while keeping in contact with and doing as much music as he could with T-Cypha. During vacations back home to Syracuse, “BA” would rap with friends in a group called “"The League of Xstrodanery Gangstaz (LXG,)” who would later become known as “The Empire.” It was during this time “BA” captured the attention of Dash from Dutch Beatz, a producer of the world wide label “Dipset.” “I couldn't make moves like i wanted to with him, so I introduced him to my musical family “The Empire.” During a meeting we had with him, and another musical groupof talented Dj's called team elite. A producer named Greeze from the group “Stack Choppy,” which was also a up and coming hip-hop group from Syracuse, all joined together and formed a group called “The Franchise.” “BA,” further states “still having ties and loyalty to Killa Trackz and “SVP,” I played my part in two movements.” Prior to the meeting with Dash from Dutch Beatz, Killa Trackz had started up a production team called “Da Zombeez.” “BA” was been and still is a “Zombeez.” “I always had a love for music, music turned me into the man and the MC I am today.”
