- The Firm. Wu-Tang Clan. The Lox, G-Unit & Boot Camp Click. When hearing names such as these legendary crews the genre of diverse, hard "Hip-Hop" is instantly brought to mind. Well you might as well add "Ace Deck" to that list now, because their "I Was Here" tag is beginning to catch recognition.
Formed in late 2005, Erick "Airic Frediano FAME" Diaz & child hood friend Alex "Frescho" Arnaud recruited the slick-mouth rapper & highly respected free-styler known as Giancarlo "GQ" , thus creating Hip-Hop's new standard, Ace Deck.
Before the artist grouped, FAME & Frescho we're already rapping together since the fifth grade, while GQ clashed daily with his older brother and aspiring Hip-Hop artist, "Nova", consistently practicing lyrical excercise. Yes, an excellent rap group was expected, but an elite squad of Hip-Hop monsters was not. With GQ being the oldest at the age of 18, the young Dominican rappers we're already futuristic in skill...but the chemistry between the three is unimaginable. With FAME's punches & presence, Frescho's raw lyrical complexity and GQ's gritty lyrics & grimey swag', Ace Deck is responsible for the bopping of B-Boy heads across South Florida.
For three years, the Deck has been recording numerous tracks with low-budget equipment. During this era though, the sound & growth of Ace Deck was improving & elevating to higher levels of musical expertise. Eventually, from two minute verse-long songs to catchy, full-length street banga's, Ace Deck has grown into a unique platoon of experienced artists, shooting embedding hooks & powerful punches at it's listeners.
Mainstream or Underground, Hip-Hop or R&B, Ace Deck has it all on lock. The fan pool is assorted & their audience isn’t particular. From Boom-Bat Hip-Hop to commercial hits, the Deck always comes correct. With the support of influential names in the industry such as Heavy Hitter DJ Mr. Mauricio & “Abuela Pun” (Great grandmother of legendary rapper Big Pun), Ace Deck is gradually on their way to the top of the top…with no intentions to ever climb down.
