Born and raised in the streets of Washington, DC, 20Bello began his musical journey as a teenager. During those years 20 rarely spoke much of his ability as a visual artist and writer. In 1991, at the urging of one of his Jr. High School teachers, he auditioned and was accepted into Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Though he was multi talent 20 could not seem to stay out of trouble. Early on he was arrested numerous times. His mother was oppressed by the demons of drugs and his father had received a 13 to life sentence for murder when 20 was age one.
In spite of the uphill battles 20 managed to graduate in 1994 but soon after, he was shot twice by DC police during an attempted robbery. After 2 months in ICU, he was sentenced to a total of 20 years, 10 years in Maryland and 10 years in D.C. for a separate drug charge. He completed nearly 5 years in multiple institutions. During his prison stay and recovery from gunshot wounds he decided then to pursue something other than street life. After being granted an early parole in 1998, 20 set his mind to become involved in the music business.
After starting a rap group in 1998, 20 began to shape the artist he would soon become. In 2002, 20Bello and friend Kibwe Galloway started SkinnyFatz Entertainment. Since then 20 has been on various stages, promoted various events, won awards and is instrumental in the ongoing development of hip-hop music in the DC area. 20Bello has also been credited for being the founder of the widely used “DMV” brand (DMVundaground.com) and other significant contributions to the DMV (DC, MD, & VA) music scene. Till this day 20bello still continues to lay the ground work for the non-profits, theatrical plays, movies and music he plans to bring forth.

We have covered many rappers from Toronto with the city's signature RnB fused Hip Hop/Trap sound (many refer to as the "Drake effect") but Kevorah's intricate lyricism definitely separates him from the crowd.
