KB, also known as Killa, was born Kabir Buhari in the West African country of Nigeria. At the age of six his parents brought him over to the United States where they settled in the city of Pittsburgh. He ran the streets of the Hill-District and quickly gained a reputation in his neighborhood for being book smart, street smart, and flat out gangsta. After several street beefs, many dead friends and others doing long stretches in prison, he found himself in several legal battles that could have sent him to prison for the majority of his life. With the grace of God and some help from his attorney Mark Lancaster he prevailed from most of the legal dilemmas. We wont speak much more about crime or say any names since the FBI will probably read this, so for the record we will say its just entertainment baby! After his battles with the courts he decided to step his game up and study the law that almost ruined his life. He attended the University of Pittsburgh with intentions of playing football, his first love, and gaining a better understanding of the law. His football career would be cut short due to an injury, but KB graduated with a degree in Administration of Justice which focused on forensics and a degree in Legal studies which, is similar to an undergraduate law degree. He then focused on music which he used as a form of expression, and had been doing since he was the age of thirteen. His smooth delivery and powdery voice has a mixture of Pittsburgh slang which paints a vivid portrait of life in the streets of Pittsburgh. Murder 4 Hire his debut mix tape will be available sometime in September at stedferds on the northside, timebomb in easliberty, Vern’s barbershop on the Hill, and all over downtown Pittsburgh. This mix tape captures the realities of life in the streets of Pittsburgh. With songs that shout out some of the deaths of those from the Hill-District area, also known as the nephs, and other songs that show the psyche and struggle for survival in the streets of Pittsburgh. The 24 year old rapper/CEO will also be releasing another CD sometime in the winter, which will be more eclectic and somewhat conscious in the sense that it will touch on the realities of being black in America.
