Rapper Mazaradi FOX, born Jamal Green, grew up in Southside Jamaica Queens. Like childhood friend and "Westside Merrick" (nickname for the area) native 50 Cent, FOX has been in the streets from an early age. His fast lifestyle led him to earn his 50 Cent certified moniker. "You heard that song 'Freddy Fox Buck 50 Across the Face'? That's how I got my name," says FOX before describing an altercation with two men who attempted to rob him of his chain that resulted in one of the men getting 150 stitches in the face. "The Mazaradi part, he says, "is because I always had a love for cars. I've had every car in the hood. 12, 13 cars at a time. I wanted something different, so I got a Maserati and now I'm Mazaradi FOX." FOX brings to his music the realism of living life as a dumout.
"A dumout is a dude that's pretty thug style but blow you out slug style. We come in fly but we can get it poppin too, don't get it confused. That's me and 50. We from the same situation." A situation that led him to make numerous trips to prison system. It was during an eight year stint on heinous charges that FOX made the decision to focus on his music. Upon release, FOX, already versed on the harsh realities of the streets, learned that in the music industry things aren't always what they seem. He started dealing with some people in the industry. Put his career in their hands but it turned out that they were just playing around and didn't have his best interest in mind. When he realized that they weren't making things happen for him he took matters into my own hands and invested in his own future. During this time, unknown to anyone, FOX was in contact with his childhood friend 50 Cent. Socially they interacted, but in response to FOX's unmatched work ethic, 50 Cent made a promise to his friend. FOX recalls, "50 came through one day with the Phantom for dolo, no bodyguards and told me he'd be back for me in five days if I was ready. Being a man of his word, five days later it was official, I was G-Unit certified." Songs like "Piano Man", "Sucker for Love", and the introspective "Personal Letter" as well as a stark eye on the prize are what make Mazaradi FOX different from other rappers.

"There are 72 jails in the state and I've been to the ones that count. What you would call the big house--gladiator school, and came home with no scars because I'm a soldier with a general's mind." His mixtape entitled, Put The Hood On will be released in February 2007 with his highly anticipated G-Unit Records debut release to follow. Overseas fans can also look out for Mazaradi FOX on tour with DJ Whoo Kid in the coming months. Now armed with a bright future, about his past, Mazaradi FOX has this to say, "Every situation made me who I am today. Especially those people who said they were in a so-called position to make things happen for me. They were bullshittin'. Their prized artist has flopped, now I should be giving them a job." Pete commented on ChasinDatPaper's blog post 'This Is Crazy: American Promoter & His Son Still Being Held In Angola 45 Days After Nas Failed To Show For Concert. Jemiah Jai Ruses To Return Money She Was Paid'
I think there is more to this story then Nas not paying. Who knows what else these two were up to. If Nas is the reason I say pay. But before we are led to lean one way we only know what the media is telling us.
