The one day sales number are in and it’s not looking good for rap superstar 50 Cent.
According to trusted industry insider hitsdailydouble.com, Fif’s long delayed fourth solo album, Before I Self Destruct, is projected to sell 150,00 to 160,000 in its first week on the shelves.
If the estimations are correct, this will be the lowest debut week for the G-Unit general. 50 sold 872,000 copies of Get Rich or Die Tryin’ in 2002. In 2004, his sophomore album, The Massacre, rang up over 1.15 million discs and his latest LP Curtis moved close to 695,000 units.
Originally scheduled to drop on November 23 BISD was pushed up to a November 16 date after the album leaked online nearly a month ago.
The album has been available on iTunes since November 9, but, according to Billboard, because of the unique situation Nielsen SoundScan will be including those digital sales as a part of his first week tally. —Max G

Bon Jovi was the new #1 album this week, but the band could have also had the distinction of topping 50 Cent.
Fiddy's Before I Self Destruct was originally scheduled for release on November 23rd, but the CD was moved up to November 16th after the album leaked online. Interscope Records actually rushed the digital release of the album, too, having it hit iTunes on November 9th.
The 11/9 release made the album eligible for this week's charts, but Interscope asked that Billboard hold the digital sales for a week because of the leak. This falls under a policy that was instituted in 2008 by Billboard, Nielsen SoundScan and the labels.
The first week digital sales will now be added on to the second week sales of Before I Self Destruct to determine its debut chart position on next week's chart.
Billboard is now reviewing if they should continue using this policy.

So you guy only like 50 Cent because he sells/sold well? What kind of bandwagon fans are you guys. I have liked 50's music from day one (back to the Power of the Dollar.) to this day Im a Hustler is my fav 50 song. 50 still puts out good music and all the great free stuff he puts on thisis50.com makes me like and respect him that much more and that is why is I bought 2 copies of BISD, and I may buy another 2 over the weekend.
That being said, just because 50 only sells 150k which is really not that bad of a number in todays market esspecially for an hip hop artist, it will not make me like him any less.
Im Down with Fif and G-Unit no matter what

It doesen't make sense because 50 was #1 on Itunes, he outsold John Mayer and Bon Jovi on ITunes and those guys did/are doing big numbers. I gotta think the numbers will increase, plus remember 50 is doing a couple of instore appearnces on Friday and Saturday which should boost sales.

1 greatest hits album and 50 is of Interscope who I believe is sabotaging him because he is going to be a free agent and if he sold a ton of records right now he would be that much more valuable and Intercope does not want to see that, IMO.
