Because it used to be about who was the nicest, not how much money you got. It was an art before, dudes like Jay Z and Big would hear each other tracks, and take it like a competition, run back to the studio and make some hotter s***. Most of us in the east grew up freestyling banging on lunch tables and see who just had the most skills. South seems to be shooting for "who's the most ignorant", that's why I don't classify most Southern cats as artist or RAPPERS. They're just a bunch of ignorant dudes with good beats.

The few that can actually rhyme and be classified as rappers (T.I, Andre 3000, Big Boi, Bun B, Big Mike,etc...) actually take their craft seriously. I'll admit Lil Wayne seems to enjoy being creative and the art of rap, so he gets a pass. But the rest of you gold teeth, bright ass clothes wearing, rims+b******+coke s*** talkers........shoot yourselves.

Well, niggas in NY don't do that anymore either. They just need to step they game up and quit gettin mad they ain't gettin money. This music industry is a business. At least our artist are smart enough to target the consumers who still buy cds. No one is stopping Jay-Z or any other NY artist from creating they "oh so lyrical" music. Point is, they can't do that and be hot at the same time because they always over do it.

THIS IS REAL TALK!im from cleveland so im the most nuetral its gonna get.NOW!the south is on top because of their overall sound,look taste ect....the lyrics are catchy,the beats are the best and they have the best style meaning the way they dress,the way they dance and their image is all sun and fun,grinding and shining,and riches and b****** on some s*** that everybody envys.they also got unity.their like a big family.they show so much love to one another that you can hear it on the songs.even when they beefing they wind up squashing it like family and start right back f****** with artist)that the rare niggas are like diamonds.dont get me wrong,we all know they have andre 3000,jezzy,ludacris,t.i. and yes lil wayne but thats still a short list even knowing i left a couple people out and all of the artist i named are some of the most original artist of all time and they do it differently but successfully.no one sales like they used to because we all know that their are to many ways to listen to music legally and illegally like true enough niggas be having smash hits on the radio but why buy the album for the songs when you can just turn on the radio and hear them all day like you already got them.that mixed with ringtones,tv,the internet and piracy got you listening to more music than ever but most of the time for free.music is like a gateway drug,it gets you hooked on other s*** like clothes and accessaries like women,money and other drugs(hint hint to why the powers that be allow the south to dominate the mainsteam....because they promote all of it in a very commercial friendly way.WAKEUP!!!)plus their are so many artist that put out so much good music that you have to really f*** with a n**** to keep up with what their putting out.and before i go let me say something about the eastcoast niggas and then the west.yall eastcoast niggas need to stop hating on the south niggas just because yall coast cant make hit records nowhere near consistantly enough to keep the consumers eyes looking out for the next big hit.i suspect that the next big hit will not come from the east atleast for another 2 to 3 years.jay-z and 50 will almost certainly not have a hit such as "lolipop" or "whatever you like" because of wayne and t.i.'s relevance in making music not the music buisness.jay and 50's time has passed the moments of them being them niggas as far as relevance in making music.they will make hits but not record breaking hits anymore.and another thing to yall eastcoast mc's and i call yall mc's because that what yall wanna be known as so much that yall try to prove it over almost every track by relentlessly spitting.how you gonna do a song for the b****** when you spittin 16 bars of straight fire.lol.start rapping more and put some creativity in ya flow and maybe you might have something but untill then stop hating.and for the westcoast niggas yall also need to focus more on your songs to.everybody know yall banging and it aint a game(sneak diss cause 50 my n****.f*** game!lol.)but do something different or old.yall niggas can live off of paying homage to the og's game did.(lol.im gone stop.lol.)but overall i know what niggas missing......production!.the east the west and the midwest dont have that commercial sound but still there sound but luckily on my thisis50 page i got yall.i got them exclusive beats.i will be the next great producer because i dont sound like nobody REAL TALK unlest i want to.i know i bated yall into this plug but you gotta be crafty to get attention.the least yall can do is go listen to the beats on my thisis50 page you wont be disappointed.listen even if you dont rap or sing,and if you know somebody who does let em know i got em for just a couple hundred.potential hits and thousands I'll be damned if we ain't hated. If you say "f*** the south", that probably means you hate them. And yeah, a majority of southern artist are wack but a bunch of NY rappers are too. That's why there are 300,000,000 rappers on the planet but only about 2% of them actually make it big.

I really dont hate the south, its just labels nowadays seem like they are signing anyone who is southern and not really caring about what he says as long as he has a bouncy beat or dance. The south has some of the best rappers to probably ever do it like scarface, luda, outkast, ugk, etc. but they gets overshadowed by all the wackness
