When you say everybody is on the internet half naked, are you saying that you see a lot of sexuality or are you saying that everyone is trying to show off their bodies to get someone with money. There are some who do it trying to get attention from those with money. Speaking for myself, I love my body, and I know that I won't look the way I look forever. And to show off and be proud of what and how I look right now, is nothing but pride for my never ending hard work on what I look like on the outside. Only when you get to the inside do you know whats behind the cover. I am a queen in my own right! I don't just ask the question that is on everyone's minds already about why women marry for money or just all the wrong reasons in general. When you make a generalization, it's better to not loop everyone together. I mean I ask myself this question all the time, "Why do some women call themselves models, when all they do is take booty shots or are really strippers?" Not saying I don't have pics like that but I have done some off the wall shoots to show that I really like modeling, and want to show my range. I do agree with you, but I disagree.

I want to marry a man for the right reasons meaning that I am in love and happy and we're best friends and all that good stuff, but I'm a little different. I WANT to be a housewifey, I want to stay home and raise my children, I would never want to send my kids off to someone else to take care of them. And I don't care if my husband is ballin' or not. I would never expect to be with someone who has a lot of $$$ if I don't. In the end, I just want happiness for my family!

Some women like money and prefer that over love. Who are we to judge? I don't agree with it and those aren't personally my own values but I'm in no position to look down my nose at someone who does that and neither are you. You don't know what they have to deal with; you don't know what's in their heads. You can't pass judgment on a woman who you honestly don't know just because you have a job or two and think your worthy of passing judgment like that.
Second of all don't be talking about the women's movements of the 1920's when it comes to this issue on this site. The whole idea of the suffragettes and woman's activist movements of that era were to STOP objectifying women and allow them to do what they want. If that’s marrying a man for money than they should freely be able do that with ought judgment. Plus women's rights shouldn't be brought up on a 50 cent forum when he raps about women like animals and basically says all were good for is sex haha.

If you look at the womens movement, it was about women being treated equally to men, in business, politics and life in general! That women can be more than housewives and trophy wives. That our opinions matter. That what we even think matters. If it wasn't for the women's rights movement we wouldn't have women in politics, we wouldn't have women as CEO's, VP's, Presidents of companies, and so on and so forth. Women would still be inferior to men to this day. And in a way we are, because there are women still living in that time period mentally. And even after that we still don't get equal treatment. Im not judging at all. Im asking why?? Why can't women do better, why can't women strive for more than what someone else has. If any female is going through so much, then why should she depend on someone else to do for her, and not depend on herself! Its one thing to only care about money, thats the basis of every prostitute and stripper in America's argument. Im saying what happened to women wanting to get their own and be their own!? What happened to women wanting to be as successful as opera, or Dr. Maya Angelou? I know what happened, they saw their mothers use what they got to get what they want, glorifiying the saying from Players Club. Because thats what they saw their mothers doing. And to me, thats no excuse.

A blog or discussion post can be posted on any site. Just because this URL is thisis50.com, does not mean that this isn't the right forum to discuss something like this. What facts and statistical data can you provide to back up what your saying about the movement of the 1920's? You say that the movement was about getting men to stop objectifiying women, and to allow them to do what they want, what primary resources do you have to back that up? Because Im very interested in reading that. Or are you one of the many women that I am talking about??!!

i agree with everything you said. i ask the same question. i had a guy thats been trying to holla at me for years ask if i could live comfortable and have everything at my finger tips for the rest of my life would i be with him. i had to tell him no and put his ass in check for trying to play me like a trick ass ho that is out for cash. i explained to him that i can't be with some one based on what he can do for me if i have no feelings for him. that only leads to cheating which i don't do! i can't be in a relationship and not be happy on all ends. its good if my man can give me the world but that's not gonna do a thing for me when i just need to talk or just want to love him. there are things and some people money still can't buy. i would love to give my kids the world, but i am not gonna teach them to sacrafice true happiness just for money. i am single now, but i know one day i will get the whole package i am looking for and i will not settle for less. its ok if we live average (by that i mean we both work and work together as a team to defeat the economic woes of todays world). i say to those who marry or get involved for money get your lazy ass up and take care of yourself and your kids and stop depending on someone else's pockets to get you through life. As women we don't need a man to validate us or take care of us, we are not helpless. we need from them what they need from us: loyalty, companionship, love, trust, etc. If he is able and we love eachother unconditionally than by all means hold it down, but if his cash should run short we as women should be able to pick it up and hold the relationship, house, kids, and the man down as well as support him mentally and still allow that man to be a man without the grief of verbalizing what we do, have done, gotta do, ect. he knows he can see just like we can.

Alot of women are shall and also they don't want to work for their s*** they want it handed to them, and parents take a blame all these rich folk who bein handed s*** so they don't value anythink.
