real hip hop is when rappers talk about real s*** stuff ppl can relate to like the bad things in the hood like ya mans diein,strugglin to survive, how we can come 2gether to make it out how its gon be betta,real hip hop is to uplift etc. that fake hip hop is all about money,drugs,hoes,cars and swag all that b******* that dont mean nothin

To me it was rapping about oppression, society, struggles, etc. But now, although that's still my favorite kinda hip-hop, like all music, it's evolved, and has different sub-genres now.

Everybody has a place in the music game. If you can generate enough buzz and have niggas listenin to you, then it's there.

i dont think one single person can define hip hop, its watever u get out of it. in my opinion real hip hop is songs like jay z dead presidents, big everyday struggle, tupac staring at the world thro my rear view, nas-one mic....tracks like that. when ur having problems or stressin about something and u can listen to a song and zone the f*** out n not worry too much about anything....ur listening to real hip hop
