What caused the rift between Banks & 50?

Banks is a real dude, so he'd never pull a Game or Buck, but everyone knew that something was wrong when Banks stopped touring with the Unit, and his s*** wasn't being promoted on here.

If you think I'm just talking s***, listen to the latest 50 interview with Cosmic Kev. He's asked if Banks is still with the Unit, and he hesitates then says "Yea." Then asked why he hesitated, 50 says "Well what is he if he's not G-Unit?" And Kev says "nothing," and 50 says "right."

What do you think caused it? I'll give you some of the rumored causes and tell me what you think:

  • 50 treated Banks like s*** again after HMF2 was a commercial flop. (He did this after Rotten Apple, so it's perfectly possible he did it again and that hurt Banks twice as much.)
  • 50 got pissed that Banks was in the studio with Meek Mill. It's true that they were in the studio, but there was also rumors that Banks shook hands with Ross whilst there.
  • Banks is pissed that 50 is dropping a mixtape right when his V6 buzz was taking place

I think it's most likely the first two, as they seemed to be drifting apart prior to the mixtape promotion, (and that just seemed to solidify the tension.)

But yea what do you guys think?

i ve been sayin this for 3 months now noone of thoz reason ... the real reason is g unit got dropped from interscope .... so banks was kinda broke .. n whne banks was about to sign a record deal with a record label i forgot which one fif said no i gs he didnt agree with fif .... anyway hes makin more money now off that g unit s*** hes been touring europe like crazy

i didnt believe they falling out until i just listend to the interview.. i jus thought 50 was staying away from banks so banks can be respected as a solo guy...but a fallout must of been just before banks announced cc2 again.. because he scrapped that s*** n said he got another album dropping..fif n banks could of fallen out between then.. but still we could all just be looking into wayyy to much. and btw what is banks if he's not g-unit? if banks aint g-unit he still the hottest rapper out right now and one of the best to ever do it.. weather he g-unit or not..50 knows this.

wel 50 said Banks is still G-Unit so i guess you can dead those rumors. 50 also said in that new interview that he likes Meek Mill's music, regardless if he's down with Ross. there is no beef with 50 & Ross it's been over since 2010

I think you ppl are reaching, the interviewer said Banks is nothing. 50 then said "OK" like he always does on twitter when ppl say anything crazy. 50 and Banks might not be so close anymore and there might be a little rift but we don't know anything for sure. "Open Arms" was put on itunes last month and it still said G-Unit Records. I rather thought 50 was like if Banks ain't on G-Unit Records where he supposed to be then since Banks didn't sign to a major or another label.
