Thisis50.com: Why Call Your Mom A B****?
I admit i used to call girls b****** a lot when i was younger but as i've gotten older i just feel like women.... our grandmothers, our mothers, and the mothers of our children deserve more respect. I'm not an angel but its crazy! The f***** up thing is that niggas been doing it for so long that the new generation of females barely find it offensive! Like here are all these celebrity rappers and s*** calling them b****** and hoes and its like women have just decided to accept it. They buy the records and make these guys rich. Who then f*** them call them hoes, and repeat the process. I know this might sound like a corny ass post but sometimes I just take a step back and look at our culture as a whole. To me calling our women b****** is crazy! Even Steve Harvey said "black people are the only people on earth who make music disrespecting their women"
Its f***** up but its extremely true. Matter fact Blacks are the only people on earth who strive to get rich from belittling our own culture. Why is this? Why do we call our women b******, and let the white folks make us rich for it? Why do we sell dope to our communities to be rich? Why do we love to see the next black man fail if it means we can succeed? Why dont we look out for the better interests of our culture as a whole, instead of having the "every man for himself" mentality. I didnt post this as a racial or hate post. I just wonder what will our future become if the people who have the power to influence the masses dont try to set an example for our whole race! To me it just looks like eventually we're going to make ourselves become extinct. The only thing keeping our population alive is the fact that our women have babies at 14. So while one n**** is killing another n**** both of their 14 year old daughters are pregnant with the next off spring! I think... Marting Luther King and the people who died for the survival of our race would be disgusted with the way our culture has become in the event of their absence!
Am I trippin or does anybody else ever think about this? Is this too deep for thisis50? Is it to much of an issue to talk about? Sorry if i got all Malcolm X on yall, I just need to hear some answers!

I agree with you for the most part, but my thinking on why men call women b******, hoes, etc.. is because they like to hurt us by any means neccessary it's called verbal abuse, but for some women it doesn't bother them, it doesn't seem like a form of disrespect, it's another way women are empowering themselves and not letting men have that power over them.
Me personally I have never been bothered by the names men use because I know what name is on my birth certificate so you can call me whatever you like but I know who I am.
As far as people rioting, i've always felt that it was stupid, why can't people take that energy to get together and petition the powers that be to change the laws regarding police shootings. why do we always wait for the next victim then riot about it? I bet if we took the energy to write to congress to change the way police shootings are handled and make them more accountable for thier actions we could make a difference. Police have thier union reps that they can hide behind, but what do we have that protects us from the ones sworn to protect us?

i feel you but i dont watch tv and everything i say is fact related. and one black person is a representative of me because he is in the public eye.People form a perception off that. When you stand up and its a million people behind you you are a representative. whether u are a rapper, a politician, or a spokes person you are a person of great influence. why not use those millions of cameras, pictures, magazines, interviews, and represent for the culture as a whole.
