First of all, pay attention to the dates and details I put into this because it proves I'm talking more fact than theory.
June 2004, Lloyd Banks becomes the last rapper for New York with a platinum debut with "Hunger for More". The album featured 50 Cent on the hit single "On Fire" (certified gold), 50 on "I Get High" and "Warrior part 2".
Fast forward to January 2005, Lloyd Banks' suppose second album "The Big Withdraw" is leaked due to Banks forgetting the CD at a female's house after having a threesome. The album was going to feature an unreleased verse from the Notorious B.I.G, Prodigy and Jagged Edge (as well as his G-Unit members). This lead to Banks having to prep for an entire new album "Rotten Apple".
That incident sort of went under the radar with Banks selling the would-have-been first single "My House" (also featuring 50 Cent!!) to the soundtrack of the film "Little Man". Also, Game's kicking out of G-Unit in the middle of 2005 (can't find the date).
November 2006 "Rotten Apple" is finally released and it flops. 300k sold, but it got worse for Banks as his father died a month later (Banks implies drug overdose, others say car crash, who knows). At this time Banks feels like the label (Interscope/G-Unit) didn't give him the push he needed to sell. 2007 got worse cause Banks' grandmother dies and his actual mother was having back to back heart attacks (the first was 17 days after Rotten Apple dropped).
Now this is where it gets interesting, check out the incident of Banks storming out of a G-Unit meeting, this is outta Prodigy's book in 2011.
50 said: “I’m not going to do it all for you. As a matter of fact, I’m not doing anymore features on any of y’all songs or videos because I’m carrying all the weight. Y’all have to start pulling your own weight. Yo Buck! You there? You heard what I said?”
Buck mumbled through the speakerphone: “Yeah I’m here. Don’t worry 50, I’m the cleanup man. I got hits on this album. We good”
That was some real disrespectful, cocky sh*t he just said, I thought to myself. What, is he trying to say his sh*t is better than 50 Cent, Mobb Deep, Yayo and Banks? Buck used the wrong choice of words, as far I’m concerned. Then 50 continued: “Yayo was locked up and his album was on hold until he got out. He missed a lot of big promotion while he was gone but he did what he had to do when he got home.”
Yayo cut in and said: “I’m not complaining about album sales man. I’m good. Whatever needs to be done, I’m doing it.”
Then 50 said: “Look at what P just did with his videos on the internet. He shot a video for a mix CD song on his own. He’s not waiting for me to help him, he’s pushing himself, making himself hot. N***** need to be doing sh*t like that.”
Then Banks came out of the left field and said: “What? Is this meeting all about me? Because you seem to be focused on me the most.”
“No, it’s not about you.” 50 said. “I’m talking to everybody, but you need to start doing your promo work before you start complaining about your album sales. I want everybody in here to look under the table and tell me what you see.”
Everybody looked under the table, confused. “I don’t see nobody rocking G-Unit sneakers.” 50 said. “I see Gucci, Louis, Fendi, Timberland but I pay your endorsement check every month to wear G-Unit.”
50 made that endorsement deal with Yayo, Banks, Buck and maybe Olivia before Mobb Deep came around. We weren’t a part of that deal so he wasn’t talking to us. “From now on, I’m deading that deal so you won’t get your checks anymore.” 50 said. “So y’all can forget about that.”
Wow, I thought. If 50 gave us that deal, I would’ve worn G-Unit to sleep at night and in my casket. Buck mumbled over the phone once more: “I got this 50, me and Spider Loc is going hard. I’m the cleanup man, trust me.” Buck needed to shut up and listen to what was being said. He needed to hand in a good album instead of talking all that cleanup man sh*t.
“This n**** is fronting.” Banks jumped in and said. “He ain’t happy. Ain’t nobody happy with this label.” Banks slammed his fitted cap on the table and sit back on the chair.
“Oh yeah?” 50 looked at Banks and said. “You wanna bounce like Game and start your own label? I got you. I’ll call my lawyer and tell him to get you a deal over at Geffen and you can do your own thing from now on.” Banks stormed out of the meeting.
A week later 50 dropped Olivia and M.O.P. from the label.
Now, with this being said, 50 Cent says in an interview he didn't speak to Banks for nearly a year in 2007 (following this argument probably??). Check how 50 says "I’m not going to do it all for you. As a matter of fact, I’m not doing anymore features on any of y’all songs or videos because I’m carrying all the weight." And Banks is the ONLY artist on G-Unit who's had the most 50 features!! That' why he felt 50 was going at him subliminally.
Lloyd Banks didn't have a 50 Cent feature on the WHOLE of his 5 and Better mixtape series, no 50 Cent single on HFM2 and hasn't had a 50 Cent input in his music since 2010.
Last but not least... 50 said a month or so ago there probably would be a G-Unit reunion, followed by a tweet saying this...
Next thing you know, 50 makes an interview last week saying
"When did [G-Unit] dissolve? It dissolved as they didn't actually support the projects." (Lloyd Banks not being happy with the push of his last 2 albums??).
Make what you will of it!!
That rumor about Banks getting slapped is funny as hell but it's a rumor cause there's not legit source. BUT I did forget to include the argument between 50 and Banks that lead to Banks saying "You don't know what I'm going through cause you got no parents" or some s*** like that... and that incident came from 50's mouth.
I slept on Rotten Apple heavy but it wasn't THAT bad. Banks tried to make a classic, but most of the tracks sounded the same.
look at one guy's comments on allhiphop.com that speaks on 50 and how greedy the man really is. 50 is set for life, his whole generation of family is straight. Banks & Yayo don't even have the money 50 has. and he had to cut these guys off that deal.

"Fif is the Devil, real talk. How you gone say Buck made almost 8 when you took back err thang you put on the table. So what he and Banks haven't spoken in 9 months, that sounds like some girlfriend type of stuff. Fif is the type of n**** that takes the ball and goes home if your out shinning him. He tried to do it with Game, that's why I'll always respect Game. Banks been hotter than Fif, err body know's this. If dude was real stand upish as he seems, he would let Buck eat again. The thang bout it is, dude paper long, it's not like these other cat's can touch his Bank account's, I mean really Lloyd Banks, but not like Fif. If someone ridding with you, and that's your mans, you not gone go and announce to world, "Yo I did this for my mans, and that for my mans" Don't let the left hand see what the right hand does, I'm just saying. This n**** reaching, remember Ja, Karma is something else ain't it????"
