At this point in my life i am 27 years old with a family....i still love listening to hip hop for the art and rappers ability to to be creative with their word play. i was lucky enough to grow up and listen to the likes of Jay Z, D-Block, Biggie, Dip Set (when they were doing their thing), Nas, Mase, Mobb Deep, Pun and the rise of the Unit and many more....the older i got the less i began listening to rap as i seen how the tides have been changing and anyone with lots of swag or a nice hook is now considered a great. I've seen people come and go in this game, but its frustrating to see rappers like Papoose, Lloyd Banks, Styles P, Game and more struggle in a game that is completely tainted. I made a statement to my peoples that if Rick Ross' album gets more love than Jadakiss that i would begin listening to country music and Salsa. Rick Ross is has pretty average word play, he makes good songs and does a very good impersonation (maybe him and soulja boy can collab)...but lets be real, he is riding a wave and unfortunately Jadkiss is not on it. If the North were to work together like the South does, there would be no question who is the best. Lets see, A song featuring, Jay Z, Jadakiss, Eminem, 50 Cent, with Puffy on the Hook...take your pick, theres many more, but i pretty much believe this song alone would shut down the industry. But the kids nowadays dont understand the music game, we are in a time period when children are struggling from mental health issues...so do you think they have the patience to listen to the deepness of a jada album or do you think a quit hitter and average rhymes such as rick ross is more favorable to them...these kids cant stay still for five minutes, do you think they have the patience to listen to a lyrical assasination, with lots of subliminal meanings. Well this is where the industry is headed...i cant fix it, but i will express myself..maybe things will change when (I HOPE), 50 signs with Def Jam and is working with Hova and Jada, then we'll see where the game is headed...by the way, i predict that Jay Z (my best rapper of all time), will be president of 50 cent, Lebron james, and Jadakiss and the most underrated, Lloyd Banks...that sounds absurd!!! I'm out, 1!
