Rapster J was celebrating last night, when his third studio album "Stretford Avenue" reached and passed predicted sales of 750 k. The UK's number one album reached 784,000 sales and cemented Rapster J's legacy at the top of the game. However, J himself said that his was very suprised with the figures, despite setting himself such a high target. He was quoted saying:
"Look n**** I don't get this sales s***. My first album sold very well you know 600 k first week for a debut album was very good and we only set ourselves half a mil. Then for the second album, May was like yeah we can get near a million first week n****, and the s*** only sold 50 k more than my first album. Then Stretford Avenue comes out and becomes my best selling album, based on first week sales. I dont get it n****. But it's a hot album and I think my hood n***** can relate"

The sales figures Rapster J reached is a victory for hip hop, after a dramatic sink in sales. Many fans stick to downloading pirate copies, and there are less and less true fans buying legit hip hop albums. J commented saying the success rocafella records still has is not based on true hip hop. J added:
"Look n****, the roc aint all that, If any n**** had rihanna and beyonce on a cd then a n**** would sell well, cos its pop s***. Jay and Kanye release rhymes for the charts, and thats not a bad thing, I like some of their rhymes, but they certaintly aren't hood n*****, I look at Jay Z now, and he'd do anything to stay on top, bit fruity n****"
Ad the year comes to the close many hip hop fans are talking about 50 cent's fifth album, that has been on delay for the past year, Before I Self Destruct sold 150 k first week. Rapster says fifty will struggle to reach that again.
"I find it hard to beleive that I could sell 784,000 first week and fifty will probably just top 100,000. Because fifty was a hot n**** when I was a teen and I copped them first three albums. He released two classics and Power Of The Dollar was a classic too. I have big respect for fifty, but I dont think he has the passion anymore, I think due to releasing nothing with a big buzz for five years he's lost relevance. Its going to have to take some huge sort of single or promotion for fifty to reach anywhere near 500 k. I hope he takes us back ten years back to the good old days, but we have to be realistic". J said this to an English interviewer after being caught pictured at a V.I.P. party for Rap Lab and all the associates in London. Lyne was pictured (far right) here with members of Big Al's gang the Manchester Mafia
He also took a pop at Cawna Store and Pocket Change by stating "I sold 784 k first week, I aint a 2 download n**** haha"
Rapster J spent £3,100 on alcohol on himself and his friends on a boozy night in the capital.
