As you all may know, Chicago hasn't really been the in the middles of Hip-hops radar but Jeronemo Rooky, 20, IL is working towards a solution to the musical drought the windy city has endured during the past several years. Rooky is coming into the circuit on his fifth official mixtape and plenty of collaborations with other Midwest Artists both lyrical and commercial. Rooky hopes to break the barriers and expand his horizon once more by releasing a mixtape every few months for this entire year of 2010. When asked about his inspirations he immediately blurts out various names formt he the Interscope Records roster who where considered heavyweights during the time of his decade of adolescence years and career campaign
"that whole team ya know like, Eminem, Dre, 50 cent , D12 , Lloyd Banks ,Obie Trice, Stat Quo etc... its so many man I literally mean every one on that dream team played such a big part in my career, honestly I've been doing this for ten years and I'm only 20 and to be blessed to have grew up around that time period when they were all breaking is a privilege in my eyes because they set the foundations for everyone after them and I just want to earn the same equal chance they earned to be able to be in a more creative workspace and allow the industry to see what I'm bringing to the table. Any label I end up on is definitely going to make triple their moneys investment and I'll work that hard to make sure of it
