[Dropping Names: Using 50's name to keep you float]
The only reason I joined this site...
I am deeply disturbed by niggas who name drop to make themselves appear more than who they really are..
I am Loany G, a photographer...trying to get my name & work out in the streets/industry, so I've been down for any opportunity that comes my way.
So I recieve a phone call from Troy, who many may know as "the n**** that robbed Ja-Rule", who seemingly became closely acquainted with 50 after that situation...he was calling in reguards to the BET awards 09, he needed a photographer at the last minute due his original photographer backing out,
at this time I really wasnt aware of his reputation or his affiliation with 50, I really didnt care... I just seen it as an opportunity to get my name out and to make money, so I hopped on the road at 2am (the morning of BET Awards 09) to get the job done.
Later on I had another conversation with Troy in which he asked me did I want to know "who he was" as if he was itching to tell me he knew 50 and he was apart of the team and pretty much that was the reason I was needed to do the photography, for 50. (Who wasnt even AT the BET awards 09, come to find out)
..to sum it all up, it was complete b*******. I am a women about my business, about my reputation.
Your reputation proceeds you, so if you are in any representation of 50, a man who I personally respect as a business man, and a man of power, I doubt that he would want any "fronters" a part of his camp. I suggest you be yourself, and stop using his name to keep you afloat. You build your OWN reputation, not live in the light of others.
