NO HATE , PPL SAYIN THERE ISNT ENOUGH PROMO , WELL FINE , BUT THE BIGGEST PROMO SHOULD BE THE MUSIC RIGHT, HOW MANY OF YOU WOULD BUY BISD BASED ON OK YOU'RE RIGHT AND BABY BY ME ???
The reason i ask is because i remember with t.o.s i had bought elephant on the sand at the mixtape store , so when ryder part 2 came out as a single it was ok , but i had liked the original with young buck better and i already had it and it was the the most horribly directed video i have ever seen ,but i had already had it , but when i heard "i like the way she do it , i lost all interest in t.o.s same like i did blood money when that wack ass single came out for it , months later i was on this site and i ended up on nikkidene's page and i heard "you so tough" and i was trying hard to find out what mixtape it was on , turned out to be on t.o.s , i heard snippets of the whole album and i went out to buy it the next day.
my point being the biggest promo for the album has to be the music the single is a sample of what your gonna get on the album so , if you make all your singles the exact opposite of what is on the record , who's gonna know.

it is 50s fault
he doesnt listen to the fans
the fans wanted they burn me n sunday morning
he thinks he knows everything
even the way he talks with saying actual all the time
LISTEN TO THE FANS 50
^^^Yeah the album is dope aside from a couple of failures which usually occur on most albums, but the Promo was and has been awful..which leads to us having these discussions..If anything he should have kept the release date to 23rd and just finishing promoting, and Dropped "Think bout Me on the Radio" and let even more people get familar with him..but then those songs are misleading because the album is not in that direction...
i dont know why you would put albums that the general public said outright was no good , that is someones ego talking right there. i cant see someone from interscope recommending songs that didnt do good to be on the album , it just wouldnt fit the business model.
ok here is my take on this. Who are actually buying albums? Answer white people. And it has been this way since rap first started. You have to gear your music towards your listening audience. Yes hardcore rap was mainstream back in the day but not now. Look at Get Rich or Die Trying, first single was In Da Club. Something that everyone can relate to and dance to. I hate to say it but dancing music is whats in right now. fast paced beats, EASY catchy rhymes. Thats how artist like soulja boy, lil wayne, kanye, and jay-z are selling. I bought B.I.S.D and luv the album, but you wont hear a lot of the songs being played in clubs or on the radio. Times have changed and as an artist you have to change with it.
i agree , fif is suffering from a failure to innovate , same with new york / eastcoast hip-hop in general i dont exactly agree that he needs to follow the path of the artists you mention but growing as a artist is key , and if your s*** sounds like some brand new 1999 music , your trailing behind the pack.
