This is a serious thread (at least I think) and I am hoping that you will be able to help.
I come from England and I am a 25 year old black male, naturally (though unfortunate but be honest if you are a certain colour and live in a certain part of the world you are going to experience racism, it's almost a part of growing up, again unfortunately) I have experienced racism...
Why is it alright in America for people who are not black to use the word N****/N***** I see people all over America via various different media outlets ie. TV, DVD's, Films, Internet etc, etc say N**** like it is alright.
Let me tell you something, here in England if a non black person says this word whether its with malice or not he going to get his a** whooped, which is 100% JUSTIFAIBLE.
WHY OH WHY IS IT ACCEPTABLE IN AMERICA AND DO YOU NOT FEEL SOME SOUGHT OF WAY WHEN YOU HEAR A NON BLACK PERSON SAY THE WORD N****/N***** LIKE IT'S NOTHING LET ME KNOW YOUR OPINION

I just read a thread and one girl replied sutton and she used the word N**** and I look at the picture and it's some white girl - what is that all about, that s*** is not right. This is an issue that really gets to me still, if you not black you have absolutly no right to use the word unless you know the consequences and are alright with them - GETTING YOUR A** WHOOPED

Because N**** is not the same as N*****!!! N**** is another name for homie or peeps. I don't get offended at all when a Non-Black say that word but if they use it out of context like "I hate N******"

I think black people shouldnt say it neither. Alot of black people are offended by it, even if a black man say it. You cant blame white people to use the word, as long as ya'll say it. I dont use the word in public, but some people have heard it so many times, said is to many times when they rap along with a song, they just say it.

Ne-Ga- Please...lol.. Nah but for real though.. I don't think to many black people pay it attention anymore like they did in the past when it was fresh and used to put down or discredit our race. I use it(I'm black though) with my homies from time to time.. hell I've even used it on here.. I think some white people are afraid to use it out in public, but they say it in close doors (those would be consider racist). There are some White people who have black friends, and depending on their friendship and how tight of a bond is, they may use it towards each other. It's more a form of friendship and bond between friends at this day an age, rather than a derogatory statement. You can tell the difference in the way it's presented it to you..
