There has been a lot of talk about Nicki Minaj’s sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. Some rap fans have called it too “Pop” while other defenders say it’s expanding the fanbase.
Hits Daily Double reports that the set is on course to sell a disappointing 200-225k copies in the first week at retail, clearly below her debut album’s first week numbers (375k). But the figure is enough to land her a #1 debut on Billboard next week. Yes, we are surprised too.
LMAO at the idiots on here thinking she would go platinum first week.

That is a bit lower than i would have thought. She has a big song on pop radio though and a song climbing fast on urban/rhythmic. She will end up going plat but probably not by much.

Song is PURE GARBAGE
Btw Every record that has been released has been Awfull and i thought she had some moments on her last album
However all the records that she put out just got worse and worse
200-225K is just off the Strength of her first CD
She Should really be Selling 100k at the most with all that Noise Poisoning she put out for this album

Her fanbase is mainly hip hop. Pop just buys the single mic so this was a bad move for ym.

She is doing her best to cover both bases with songs on all formats...but i think when you try to stretch and appeal to everybody you start to lose appeal to everybody as well that only likes one style of your music.
But she has enough radio play on all formats to end up plat. Her last album is still selling as well so she has longevity...but this does show people are losing interest...opposite of drake who actually gained fans with his new album. So wayne is falling, nicki is falling, drake is gaining looks like
