Ok so Rolling Stone magazine just released their "500 Greatest Albums Of All Time" Issue. As I expected, they have like every Beatles album on the list (3 of which are in the top 10). No surprise there. Other typical entries include Bob Dylan, U2, Brue Springsteen, The Police, Michael Jackson, Prince, etc. Again, not surprising. Out of 500 albums, I'd say there may be 25 - 30 from the hip hop genre and the first entry doesn't appear until #48:
I'm not mad at that either. I own "It Takes A Nation..." and it is a masterpiece. Personally, I would've placed it in a higher position but whatever. Nas' "Illmatic" came in at #402. Ok fine. What concerns me is the fact that out of the few hip hop albums that made the list, this man's work is NOWHERE to be found:
^^That's 2PAC yall...2PAC DID NOT MAKE THE LIST. WTF & SMDH.
yep. C3 came in at #437. i aint mad at weezy either. but to have C3 on the list and no 2Pac is just wrong. and i have a feeling if i told you what other n!ggaz made the list (multiple times at that) you'd probably get mad.
Nas, Jay-Z, Tupac, Big, Dr. Dre, LL Cool J????
if not, then that's some bullsh.it!!
ok ok ok....those are some real classics.....
but almost every Tupac album is better than "The Black Album".....
"Life After Death" & "Radio" should have been way higher.....
