I've been with my man for a straight minute. He cheats on me faithfully. Sometimes the girls look better than me or their ass is fatter or whatever and I get it. Other times its a beat down looking chick without one plus visible to the naked eye. I'm tired of fighting over him, stressing and crying and feeling insecure to the point where I'm ready to just accept it. I just want him to love me and take care of our sons and build something we can have in our old age.
My question to y'all men is how can I tell if that's what he's thinking too. What little clues or actions speak louder than words in this case?
Don't tell me to leave him. I'm smart enough to know that's an option and I I might anyway but I want to feel like I went all out trying to give my sons a family.

You know what though? Women have a predisposition to liking chocolate because it stimulates oxytocin in our bodies like an orgasm does. Now it's perfectly natural for us to want to feel good and its our body's biological response to whatever is in chocolate so its perfectly natural for us to want as much chocolate as possible.

Does this give a woman the right to sit there and eat twelve pounds of chocolate though? NO.

To me that's the same thing as men being naturally polygamous. I get it, you can have many kids with many women at the same time as opposed to one woman being only able to have one kid every 10 months or so (if she's hardcore). BUT- it's still only 24 hours in a day and the realities of this life are what they are.

The more kids you have the less time you have to spend with them and if you have them by more than one woman, you have to split your income between two households trying to support them. If you have $10, you can get chicken rice and a gallon of water and feed one household dinner. But if you have to split that same $10 between two homes, what are you going to give each family five dollars? And come one, how many men call themselves being ploygamous but really just only end up creating more single mothers?

Men need to have some self control. Its not everything that feels good that you should be doing.
You have very valid points Ms. Morales, and I cannot help but agree.

Allow me, however, to play devil's advocate for a bit.

Its true that a lot of wannabe polygamists (or more like wannabe players/ pimps) end up creating more single mothers and father more kids than they know what to do with. That would not, however, happen, if those men followed the laws written down in the Old Testament and lived in the same household with all of their wives and children, thus operating as a single family unit with the man heading it. That way the kids would still grow up encircled by due attention and work and duties could be shared equally to ensure harmony and productivity.
The living in the same household thing can only happen in a society where women have no rights. Polygamy only works in societies where because of religion or social structure women don't have an option.

No woman is going to choose polygamy. Some women will accept it because the man will leave them if they won't or will do it anyway and by saying they accept it, they have some control. They can try and antagonize the other woman into leaving, out "pious" her by discrediting her in the religious aspects or use her as a babysitter and/or housekeeper. But no woman is going to choose to share her man, especially if she's the first wife and she's invested into him financially, spiritually and had his kids. It's not only a slap in the face that he is out pursuing other women, its saying she's inadequate somehow.

Then, women are so nasty and catty and mean to each other because we are naturally competitive for resources. Why should half my husband's money go to some other woman's kids? why can't he just invest more into mine? That same time he's spending with them he could be spending with us and solidifying what we have.

I know I'm setting it up where I'll never have a man and I'll die old and lonely in a house with 150 cats because apparently they all have to have more than one woman but to me that's better than the alternative.
True, except for the women having no rights part. A lot of women in those type of societies are prepared from childhood to accept polygamy as natural and necessary and oftentimes take it for granted.

Some might argue that they very much do have rights, its just that people's priorities as a whole are different and men and women are both expected to play their specific positions in society, which most accept as a given, often because of standards set by certain traditions of old or religion. That goes, for example, for certain Muslim communities in Central/ South Asia, Eurasia and the Middle East, certain Muslim and traditional tribal communities in West and Central Africa and even some Mormon communities in North America. Black Hebrew Israelites would also very much advocate that as the way an ideal society should be structured. In order for that to really work, the people in question would have to live in a rural, agricultural society that thrives almost exclusively off the land and purposely isolates itself from the globalized world.

Of course in the contemporary Western society that wouldn't work very well for all the reasons that you pointed out, with the exception probably of the aforementioned Mormons, and even there its not all that common.

And I can't say I can fault a woman for not wanting to be a part of something like that by any means.
just live your life and take care of her son

People don't know what love is. God defines love but people willing ignore that and try to define it themselves.

^^that will NEVER happen. and there is nothing you can do about it.

you need to be strong for you and your children.
"Play the game just as he is". What I mean from my statement is to act like you got a "side man". Jealousy will play in his mind and he might "act right". but don't take it to far.. As for that maybe if he realizes that other men might want you, that he might get the picture.
