This is a thread only about what 50 has given us and why people aren’t buying. I don’t care about Camelprint 3, Deeper Than Crap and 50’s supposed first week numbers (the week isn’t even over).

Since the BISD was announced, 50 has given us:

1) “Get Up” & “I Get It In” as possible Before I Self Destruct singles – which you guys downloaded for free anyways and even though they didn’t chart high, they were still good tracks.

2) “50 Cent: The Money & The Power” TV show – which promoted him and the song “Get Up.”

3) Songs like “Play This On The Radio,” “Heartless Monster,” & “Day Dreamin’.”

4) An entertaining beef with Rick Ross – gave us funny diss tracks like “Officer Ricky Go Ahead Try Me” & “Tia Told Me” and don’t forget Pimpin’ Curly and those little cartoons.

5) War Angel Mixtape – which was like an album. Hardcore songs mixed with a couple songs for the ladies and no DJ screaming on them.

6) Forever King Mixtape –not as good as WA imo but still had some sick tracks on there.

7) A street single OK, You’re Right and a video – it was on the War Angel mixtape so basically he gave a track off the album for free.

8) Two self directed movies for “Crime Wave” and “Stretch.”

9) A website for people to get hip-hop news – so basically all you people on here all the time.. 50 gave you an internet life.

And the thing about making a hard track a single would be stupid. Why? Because we all like the song anyways, and making musuci videos lets people see what to expect. A song like Baby By Me is perfect because it can be played on any TV show and any radio station, but a hard track, who’s going to play it? The radio? No. MTV? No. Are people going to vote for it on 106 & Park who are a bunch of Lil Wayne d*** riders? No. Singles like Many Men & Hustlers Ambition were hard tracks but didn’t chart high, so why do it again. 50 knows which tracks to make singles. Baby By Me is OBVIOUSLY not for the guys. 50 is NOT asking males on thisis50 to have his baby. He did not make this track expecting more MALE fans.

You won’t get far with only hard tracks. Look at Rakim’s new album, how much did it sell? Look at Slaughterhouse’s numbers, Royce’s Street Hops numbers, Crooked I’s Mr. Pigface Weapon Waist album. Without Baby By Me, it wouldn’t have sold much anyways.
