You can't say 50 career is over then say the big 10 was hot cuz that just don't make sense,even mic said it was hot so that alone says alot

I wouldn't say that it's over, I would say it's undecided.
Here is the process. An artist dropped a mixtape/album and they go on tour to promote the project. The label puts money behind the project and finance the tour, marketing, promotion. Based on public interest from the combination, either the label is going to continue or discontinue financing the project. Some independent artist tour using their own money, but normally the buzz stay local and don't get national coverage. The percentage of artist that get national coverage via their mixtape independently is very small.
Back to Big 10 mixtape. The mixtape dropped, 50 cent barely tour for it and the only promotion it received was through 50 cent meaning (Facebook, Thisis50, twitter). Interscope/Shady/Aftermath did not promote the mixtape or through their affiliates such as radio/DJs/TV. Understand, the label controls most of these natonal outlets. So when you hear Lil wayne, Drake, Rick Ross 24/7 on the radio, the push comes from the major labels. That is one of the reasons why this mixtape seems like it came and gone. Rarely, you have an artist put up a mixtape and makes noise throughout the industry. When it does happen, that artist immediately gets sign if they are unsign and the label promotes the mixtape via their affiliates just Drake, Wiz, Rick Ross, and many others.
Most people think that 50 cent is irrelavent, but I still thin he is still relevant in the industry. There is a reason why interscope doesn't want to drop 50 cent. Interscope has dropped many artist in the past (Busta, Eve, Rakim, and many others. I can see Aftermath or Shady not wanting to keep 50 cent, but Interscope as major label has many other high profile artist to worry about other than 50 cent.
