Is 50 Cent Pass Jay-Z's Level Musically?
i would say 50 is pass jay's level if you're talking about record sales... 50 is the 4th highest selling rapper of all time... that is the only category he has over jay... but if you're talking about overall music, classic albums, achievements, hit songs, respect, and amount of work put in, jay has 50's numbers... 50 only has 1 classic album which was get rich or die tryin... jay has 5 classic albums... reasonable doubt, hard knock life vol 2, the blueprint, the black album, and american gangster... i think jay has a bigger music appeal as well... 50's music is too hardcore and everyone can't listen to it, that's how come he has never won a grammy... but 50 does know how to make a hit record and good pop music as well to sell records... do you agree or disagree?

Nah i dont think all them were classic.. In my book Jay only has 2.. Reasonable Doubt and The Black Album.. RD was one of my favorite albums and The Black Album has that mass appeal but still was real..
Hard Knock Life 2 was nowhere near classic.. It was just his first real kinda pop record with much more mainstraem appeal he made..
The Blueprint is overrated as f***.. Great album but def not a classic, and ive had that s*** since the day it came out, i was only 11 or 12 and it was 9/11.. Random fact lol..
American Gangster was definitely not a classic either.. It was dope but nowhere near classic..
^^All just my opinion..
And no rap wise Jay will always be better.. Musically idk cos 50 is a great songwriter.. But i would definitely give it to Jay overall..

I agree with what most you saying except, 50 cent had 2 classic albums.

I also think massacare also, people don't like that for the "candy shop"
But i mean, thisis50, in my hood, etc, was f****** awseome.
So i'd say he had 3, but keep it on 2.

But also, at least 50 cent does make hardcore rap, i mean, i don't really think he gives a s*** about rewards, as long as he gets paid for it all. Because if he did he wouldn't do it?

I dont think so jay has 10 number 1 records the music industry has changed . I do think 50 is a better hit maker jay is great lyrically but dude is ass on singles

50 came with nothing but agressive content its what hes fans expect jay can diversify his music because when he came in he had all sorts of songs with differnt meanings it had a differnt atmosphere
50 is for the hood he isnt for the kids he dosnt make music that most folks can relate to he has a hustlers mentality its why i like his music
