Good Or Bad Decision By 50 To Stop Making Mixtapes?
The mixtapes have more of an impact on getting the streets to hear your new music first and keeping yourself relevant in a time where most of the industry is considered disposable the second they get quiet.
On the other hand...they give fans a free or very cheap way to get a hold of your music and in tough economic times that can prove to be good enough for fans wanting to hear some new s*** from that artist, meaning they wont be buying an album.
I believe that Jay-z's consistency when it comes to still being able to move a lot of records goes hand in hand with the fact that he never drops mixtapes and fans of his want to own the only complete body of work he will drop for the next year or so.

After the lack of true support, niggaz don't deserve anymore mix joints from 50. He the only big name rapper that cares enough about the fans to give it up like that, and all niggaz do is hate, then they go support artist who you don't get s*** from in between albums. F*** these fake ass fans IMO, but knowing 50, he loves hip hop so much he won't be able to go for long without blessing us again...

yea im talkin about they burn me and the 50th law - the point is not that he hasn't given away free s*** its that he keeps giving dates and sayin when hes putting s*** out and then never does and acts like its nothin like he never said that.

so what, that n**** is extra busy and truly don't have time to give us anything. respect the fact that the man does it for the love of hip hop. he's a fan too at the end of the day and knows big name artist don't give back to the fans. real niggaz do real things like giving back to those who helped him get where he is at. so if he says he's gonna do a mix joint and don't oh well. be happy for all you've got thus far. name one A list artist who gave the fans anything free after they made it....

from his point of view, he gave niggaz mixtapes like crazy pretty much started this s*** of niggaz making songs on other niggas beats but niggas couldnt even go cop the album. I agree with david, he should just make albums and maybe 1 or 2 mixtapes at the most per year not like 4 or 5
