The forums are here for a purpose and that is to provide a source of constantly updating live content.

Since the team at ThisIs50.com is providing unfiltered real time content its on you the contributors to maintain the forums, by being respectful of the members and the website itself.

So lets get to what is allowed an not allowed.

-Outside Promotion Links

If posts are discovered with questionable promotional links, they will immediately be edited or removed:

Any post that is considered advertising for one's self-interests,
excluding promotion of yourself as an artist in a reasonable manner, will be deleted.

We encourage you to be on your grind and promote yourself, but it must be in a reasonable manner. You can promote your music of course but please use your comon sense and avoid posts like below:

ThisIs50.com team, along with
appointed admins will ultimately decide what is permissible. You can't
post it over and over again because that is considered to be spam.
Which leads us to our next rule.

-No Cross-Posting and Multiple Posts / Spam

Discussions should only be posted in one forum. All cross-posting/double-postings will be deleted. Repeated violators will be suspended or banned at our discretion.
See this example?

He obviously doesn't know what he is doing. He posted the same
discussion several times...what did he get? No replys is what he got.
If you want to post a discussion like that, it's fine; but only post it once.

Along with cross-posting multiple posts in a short time span is not permitted. Don't spam the message boards, post your discussion and then participate in others' discussions.


-Language and Trolling

ThisIs50.com is not a typical
site when it comes to language, in that our guidelines are less controlling. Strong language is permissible as it is in our music, however repeated unreasonable attacks on members will not be allowed. You can curse of course but put a star instead of the vowel, it will look more appropriate. This guy knew what he was doing:

Discussions that look abusive with many curses will lose their chance to be featured and may be removed if necessary. This is a good example of a member who looks like they didn't have a good day and broke this rule:

That is highly unnecessary and will not be permitted on ThisIs50.

Do not post provocative, outrageous, or pointless messages only to get a response from others, i.e. "trolling." Repeated violators will be permanently banned.

-No Copyright Download Links should be posted

All download links will be removed from the website without warning.

-Threatening Members is not allowed

Users should show an interest in contributing to discussions. If a user has no intention of positively contributing to discussions, combined with an overly aggressive, combative attitude, they will be banned.

For obvious reasons you can't threaten members or encourage other people to do so. Take a look at what this example:

I think all of you can understand why posts similar to this are not allowed on the site.


-No Member Dissing

Sure, there might be members that you don't like and you don't approve of what they post but it is best to keep it to yourself. Below you will see an example of what is not allowed on Thisis50:

Creating discussions with other members pictures, posting diss records
or dissing them in any way will be removed and may lead to permanent suspension.

-Moderators and Administrators Have the Final Word

If you have an issue with operation of the forums, contact the administrators and/or moderators.
Your input is valuable and will be considered. However, we do reserve
the right to ban flagrant offenders when deemed necessary, with or without prior warning. If a discussion get's removed, it was for a reason. Do not make discussions like this:

If you do, it will be removed and if you continue to do so you will be banned.

-Absolutely No Porn Or Nudity allowed on Thisis50

We are a clean website and we do not approve of full nude pornography anywhere on this site. You can create eye candy discussion of course; just make sure that all the moneyshots are covered.
