Does Slaughterhouse's Album Sales Prove That Lyricism Is No Longer Valued In Hip Hop?

The official numbers arent complete but the projection for the album is 20k-25k copies sold in its first week. Those numbers wouldnt be awful seing that its on an independent label, but when u factor in the facts that these are 4 seperate rappers from different regions and each supposedly have their own fan base, s*** aint a good look...not to mention they gotta split the pot up 4 ways.
Everyone that considers themselves 'hiphop heads' always complain bout music bein trash and the radio not playin real rap, where were these people this past week when an album of nothing but wordplay was dropped? They couldnt have asked for more promo with the whole Buddens/Raekwon dispute bein talked about all week.
What went wrong here?
