i think tos was meant more for the underground than the main stream audience and the amount of mixtapes they been bringing out is defo for the underground.
i think that g unit is more commercial now then ever b 4 i mean that got the mixtapes out and yes they r hot but ....... 50 in 2002 would never drop a single like get up ......... i think that they underground and hood for mixtapes but when its time to drop a album the go pop...witch i could understand but i dont like it ... back in the day g unit songs that were supposed to b pop were still hard ...like when they remade a r b joint like u should b here feel me
I cosign homie....cuz even though as a whole I think Tos was a street record.....and da mixtapes are always hood.....but it seems like they always put out a wack ass single because they attempting to make a popular song.....I produce/A&R music n feel like you gotta try n make good quality more than hits cuz if you go in da studio to make a hit....it usually don't turn out too good sometimes wack......da units singles are usually wack as of late.....get up is Ok.....but still not enough to over come da unit resistence.....one
definitly underground. they were on thier mixtape s*** heavy all year and still aint stop. TOS was definitly not commercial, it was for the true fans. It was a rap album, not pop, or any of that other s*** people are doing right now.
2 me G-Unit is still underground, but the more they blow up and keep coming out with that classic gutter 50 s*** that got them where they are 2day, then they'll start appeal 2 a lot more people, which in turn will make them commercialized, because now you have everybody from the n**** up the block, 2 Joey accross town in whitey ville bumping G-Unit...... So the answer yes G-Unit is still gutter and gangsta!!!!!
