DMX Says Jay Z Held Him Back At Def Jam To Eliminate Competition !!!
While DMX is known to speak his mind and lash out, can there be any truth to this statement, or is DMX bitter sweet about his time at defjam ?

no its the other way around dmx had a ersonnal problem with jay-z his latest song back in 02-05 where lame fifty and em had better song than him back then thats what killed his carrer not jay-z

I don't think X is lying. Ross and Jezy are by far not as successful or big as X was, plus you can't control somebody like X. Kanye on the other hand is way easier to handle than X. Jay prolly saw the opportunity to get rid of X and took advantage of it.

Kanye has been acting kind of funny the last few years but back in the days he used to be totally different. Plus Jay has needed Kanye to stay relevant in hip hop since 09. Kanye had a huge influence on BP3 and they also did WTT together. Besides that I don't think he would stab Jay in the back.
X was past his peak when Grand Champ dropped but it still went plat. I just can't imagine why Def Jam would hold back a multi-plat artist. Other artists were better and more popular but there was still room for his music. The only reason for the label to hold back his music could of been his drug addiction tho.
