I gotta go with the old sound as far as my top songs go off the album for group effort. When I first heard that s*** you hear in the background, man, I was blown away. I don't know how much of that is because they were still relatively new to the scene, but I think I'd feel that way today if that track had been dropped this year instead . I love "No Day's Off". But the energy isn't really there like it used to be.......
Round 2
Comparing 50's wackest song on GRODT to 50's wackest song on Curtis:
Honestly, I couldn't find a song that I really thought was wack off of GRODT so I just had to pick one:
Like My Style
Fire
Winner: The Old 50
Like I say, I really didn't think Like My Style was wack. I liked that whole cd. But it seems like 50 sold out when he put that Fire song on the cd. That's when I really started questioning 50. Others started when he dropped Candy Shop, but that was a big enough hit to get a pass. When I heard "Fire", smh, I began to feel 50 was losing it.
Round 3: The Mixtape Series (The Early G-Unit mixes vs. Return of the Body Snatchers, Elephant in The Sand, Sabrina's Baby Boy)
"Baby If You Give It To Me"
"The Mechanic"
The Winner: Even. G-Unit's first mixtapes were very refreshing to rap when they came out and I give 50 credit for really doing the most with the mixtape game because of it. It seemed like they was dropping music left and right, j****** beats and making them better. I always laughed at the "Baby If You Give It To Me" track. But the three mixtapes I mentioned from the new version of G-unit were classics in my book. Why weren't more of these mixtape songs on T.o.s?
The song was hot. I love simple lyrics because it make it more easy to learn. In my opinion Get up was as good as in the club. But anything 50 drop he get hate.
them niggas fell back a lil not off, them dudes waz hittin us wit mix after mix back in the day, now u hear a song or 2 every other month. compared to then bank$ was all over the s*** now we gotta wait 2 or 3 years 4 a album the mixtapes they drop are on point but music get stale quick wen u waitin 4 new s*** 2 drop
