Well to be honest...In my own opinion hip hop i s alive...the thing is you have to search for it cuz if u leave to the radio and T.V. programs all u gon see is that weak ass b*******....I mean everything is about swagger and gucci man purses tight clothing mediocre rhymes And a video camera And they slap tha name hip hop on it LOL...F*** OUTTA HEA. Props to you on this post kidd!
thanks for the response pimp i am just tired of this watered down bubble gum pop ish but i like it in the club but outside the club i cant jam it that much i just need some ish that can excite my mind everything these days is the same but i guess everything has its time real rap will come back it has to again thank you for responding
co sign.. hip hop used to be edgy and rebellious but now its just watered down and pop sounding. back in the day even on the radio there was always a street anthem but now on the radio can you name one? its like all the rappers are in love or talking about morals like "live your life".
Hip-hop is alive homey. It's just going away from what we like. But if you watch the younger generations, you don't see them up on that hip-hop is dead s***. They love the s***. I'd hate to sound like a bitter old man. But hey, this is what happened to R&B. Artist such as Marvin Gaye and Al Green put a different feel into they music. Almost like they put all they heart and soul into it. Although Chris Brown and Neyo are dope (R&B wise), I don't feel as though they put all they heart into it. It's just with the changing of times.
HOWEVER!!!!
The quality music will continue to suffer because we're not buying the cd's. And the only way to get people to do that is to elimnate the internet, which won't happen.
yeah i see ya views pimp hip hop is so bland thats why change got to come like brack said yeah yeah i bit jadakiss there lol yeah but we need that real hip hop back and u right internet is taken away from the music in alot of ways things will never be the same but we need to support the new artists i would put names up but i dont do promos thats there labels job lol but lets support hip hop cause the true we fans are guilty in some ways as far as R&B they just need to go back to the art of music and song making its cool but it needs to go beyond the bedroom and the club
i anit saying nothing about old school or new school i am just saying give me your views on rap pimpin i like all hip hop but even u must agree sometimes u need something new so be real u like the state of rap right now

Like Buddens said it will come back around to being about lyrics, when that recession get worse muthafuckas not go have no money to go to the club and all that s*** go get played out.
yeah i see what u saying but i just saying that hip hop needs a face lift and a tummy tuck lol she anit lookin fine no more lol let me stop naw lyrics will come back but i guess dudes making music that gets them instant 5 minute fame people dont invest there time in music no more its no natural heat its microwave pop
its gone die n its not all becuz of the music look at the media niggas like 50 jay-z n even lyrical people like method man they worried about gettin money doin movies n everything else that have s*** 2 do with hip hop luda doin all kinds of movie n s*** kanye tryin 2 design clothes n s*** n all this s*** that have nothing 2 to with the music is gettin involved nothin wrong with that but its 2 the point where s*** that have 2 do with hip hop is fading away when niggas would rather do a 106 appearance before doing a rap city appearance come on people they have got rid of rap city f***** rap city should be a land mark with those mcs who stepped in that booth n appeared on that show i mean rap city was the last biggie interview n they got rid of it n replaced it with smart guy basically cuz the show they replaced it with dont come on in the daytime n it barely have anything 2 do with rap i think music n general is dying but i think Hip hop is the black soldier sheilds in front meanin hip hop gone go 1st
u are speaking the real babygirl i see ya veiwpoints but that means we got to fight for this music cause thats what really killing hip hop the fact that nobody care about the art they only care about the money they get off the art i respect some these rappers but they know they all about the paper Kanye put is all in the music but this auto-tune b******* he got going sorry dude GRADUATION was a good album go back to that formula i know the break up is messing with u and your mother pass away but accept it and move on and i just found out rap city got took off the air hip hop need to be brought back to the ground floor where it was about music and skillz gettin money is cool but make some good music please i am talkin all u emcee's and rappers in the game
