BILLBOARD.COM and hiphopgame.com reports deeper then rap has sold around 150,000 units... big time lost. Rick spent a 1,000,000 in promo 300,000 on radio play and 600,000 on his latest video w/ mroe to come.. you do the math. IT'S A FLOP!!! Bigger then crap.

In rapid succession, they pushed forward the physical release date from Nov. 23 to Nov. 17 — the soonest the CD could be manufactured and shipped — while also working out a one-week exclusive with iTunes for the digital album, to take effect Nov. 10. In return, iTunes agreed to go against its standard policy and “locked” the album, with only the single available a la carte, selling 46k album downloads during the exclusive window. Additionally, the compilers of the charts agreed to include the initial iTunes sales in the total for first week of general release, which is now looking in the 140-150k range.

Because isnt deeper than rap at 400k and 10 bucks a cd thats 4 million bucks. Even if they only get half thats 2 mil and that is still over 1 mil

ten bucks is pushing it, maybe like 7 plus the artist makes about 2 bucks a disc (if he got a good deal , some artists make as little as ten cents a disc) , you got the label , the producers ,the features the lawyers ,the studio time, mixing and mastering , the manufacture and distribution and promotion the music videos and they spent a hell of a lot more than 1 million for promo try 2-4 mil and they pressed up 300k copies with the first shipment and remember the artist doesnt get a penny until all the costs are covered
