VENTURES AFRICA – Consumer electronics marketing and distribution company, Shift LLC has signed a deal with American multi- platinum selling rapper and entrepreneur, Curtis James Jackson, a.k.a 50 cent as the exclusive distributor for his SMS Audio brand in Africa.

Shift will distribute SMS Audio products, a premier brand of headphones and earphones, through Virgin Megastores across the Middle East and Africa for two weeks, making it more convenient for consumers to access the diverse selection. SMS Audio’s products encompass a versatile range of wireless and wired headphones and earphones, under its sub-brands: “Sync by 50″ and “Street by 50″.

The SMS Audio brand has achieved considerable success in 50 Cent’s home country – USA, as well as Oceania (Australia, New Zealand); Scandinavia (Norway, Denmark, Sweden); Western Europe (France, UK, Ireland, Netherlands) and South Africa.

Last month, the Grammy-Award winning artiste extended his entrepreneurial benevolence to Africa as he called for partnership with business marketers to distribute his energy drink brand, SK Energy Shots, which was launched in September 2011 with a social mission to “feed a hungry child” by donating the cost of one meal to the United Nations World Food Program for the sale of every shot.

According to a Forbes report, the philanthropist rapper and his company have already written a check to the UN to cover the cost of 2.5 million meals .
