I find it interesting that the so said "Hottest rapper in the game" drops 2 singles, one of which features one of Hip-Hop's most prominent artists at the moment, gets his album pushed back for over a year, and everybody praises him because his mixtape featured everyone in Hip-Hop.

Y'all need to let that guy 50 breathe, "The Big 10" is reason enough IMHO. The difference between 50 and most of whom you consider 'hot' is their lively hoods depends strictly upon how big they are as a rappers, where as 50 could never touch a mic again and be alright.

When he appears on these crossover TV shows (The View, Rachel Ray, Ellen), they DO NOT care about his current musical stats because of how massive the impact he's already made is. Tell Wayne, Nicki, Ross, or Drake to do what 50's done on the billboard charts without singing or a butt load of features.

I personally don't even care about this next album, and have no reason to... I don't even know the title. But I do know it won't "make or beak" 50 like most of you think it will.

Ross made 6 million last year alone. You invest that at a 2% interest you are making $120,000 a year off that interest, almost triple an average salary in north America. That's off one year of a seven year career. Ross is worth tens of millions dude can retire any time he wants and live off his interest, or pay people to invest it properly. Don't even get me started on rappers like Wayne. NONE of these guys need rap money to survive anymore. If you think 20 mill is not enough to live off forever you know absolutely nothing about investing money.
S.N 50 could have retired after GRODT and have been fine, yet he still was happy to be running hip hop in 05 and threw out sales numbers. All of these big rap figures could retire, they have the money.

Nobody is talking about who can retire and who can't MiC. I've never been one to count the money in another man's pocket. If I was, then I'd tell you that unless you're Jay, Diddy, Fif, or Baby those #'s are based on what these artists generate before taxes, label cuts, commissions, and management percentages.

What I was alluding to is the fact that 50 hasn't had a single out in 3yrs and is still able to get on these crossover TV shows. He's in the same category as a Snoop Dogg, or an Ice Cube at this point, they've all transcended Hip-Hop. What I'm saying is, 50 isn't waiting around for a big hit single, or record sells to get a new endorsement deal, he can give these rappers some. He owns his companies (SK & SMS Audio) now.

Only a fool would expect 50 to make it feel like '03 again. This album might help him regain some notoriety back if it does well, at best. But even if it did 5k 1st week (granted his foes would have a field day), it would just mean he's not a hot rapper anymore, not affecting who he is as a mogul.

Papers and everything he does gets Headlines

Hip-Hop undeniably has EVERYTHING to do with where Fif is at this point in his life; his past musical success propelled him to where he is now. But does he NEED to rap and sell records in 2012? HELL NO!
Paul McCartney for example hasn't had anything going on for years, but people are still interested in him today because he was a Beatle decades ago. 50 Cent had a MOMENT, not just in hip-hop, but pop culture. The most remarkable thing about it was he didn't clean his act up for any of it, he was fresh from the block! Even if this album sells 2 copies total it won't change that.

Reasonable Doubt & Illmatic both had poor sells initially, so those weren't classics? You mean you would listen to 'Many Men' if GRODT wasn't successful sells wise? Sad to hear a 'rap fan' with such a flawed logic.
Like I said earlier, this album doesn't matter, sells or impact wise. 50 Cent is already 50 Cent, this album won't change that.
