Realistically, Obama supports two things which could be very undesired by the urban community. The first is ending hate speech. This at first doesn't seem like a bad idea, but it does affect "free" speech and "free" press. Other socialist democracies around the world have some sort of anti-hate speech laws so it's not unusual he's for them. However, they become particularly ugly when they mean you can go to jail for what you say or write on your blog. I encourage people to research the affects of hate speech laws in places where it's implemented, like Canada. Unfortunately, gangster rap COULD fall into the category of hate speech. I remember watching this press conference video where 50 was asked if he was going to "get with the program" (referring to his violent content); and UNFORTUNATELY the hate speech laws are said mentioned "program".. Point 2: He has agreed to immediately sign FOCA (Freedom of Choice Act)... which will remove federal regulation of partial birth abortion and make way for euthanasia and "mercy" laws. Voluntary euthanasia exists in several countries already. However, it can be problematic in cases where a person is the ward of the state and the state deems them unfit to live. Inmates in many cases are considered wards of the state, as many elderly and disabled persons. In some countries, being too poor means you cannot have children. FOCA is part of a slew of reproductive health ideas that (under the wrong government) could become ugly. It may not be ugly during Obama's legislation, but remember that legislation changes hands every 4-8 years. What happens when these are written in stone and then a facist is put in power? I support Obama, but these (and other) things people should research and think about, not just the cliff notes. Understanding the "issues" is more than the bullet points the mass media spreads to the people. Truth is, the average citizen wont read or learn what most bills and laws entail and become victims of them once it's too late. We don't just vote for a president, we vote for a party, ticket and agenda.

McCain promotes something VERY dangerous too - the building of 45 Nuclear facilities in the United States. Nuclear energy is not the way, and makes us more volnerable to attack. Unlikely but still possible, if said reactors were threatened it could destroy the continent in a day. That idea does NOT settle right with me. Furthermore, offshore drilling is a touchy subject. The man is still too focused on Oil in my opinion. I'm no tree hugger but guess what - if the PLANET dies, WE ALL DIE. I do not think McCaine really understands that what currently seems like a gradual steps toward global warming can speed up overnight. One little thing destabalizing our planet and it becomes a chain reaction of hell of apocalyptic proportions.

In the democrat vs. republican debate, unfortunately, in America, there is no "choice"; the parties are brethren. The American people are kept appeased and distracted with 'the issues' while a bigger picture is being painted. I'm also not a conspiracy theorist, but as this last legislation has open MANY nieve eyes to, something else is going on. Soldiers who have done tours in Iraq this past 3 years especially, although their gagged, know exactly what I'm typing about right now.

I'm voting Obama for only 1 reason: The Planet. If the green party had a chance, I'd vote Green; but they do not have a chance this election. I vote for the planet, not because I'm an environmentalist (I am so not!) but because I'm a survivalist.

I also encourage American voters to read the Mein Kampf, Communist Manifesto, Plato: Republic, Sun Tzu: The Art of War, Das Kapital, Niccolo Machiavelli: The Prince, The Humanist Manifesto, Aristotle: Politics, The Satanic Bible, and other books on political strategy, war, books from world leaders and Generals, books on psycho-politics etc. Many influence the politics of today worldwide. There is nothing new under the sun.
