i dont think there is an age, it gotta be the right time for you, you gotta feel 100% comfortable with whoever you gonna be losing it to...some people feel ready at 13/14, others arent ready unitl they r in their 20's n just because someone might be physically ready to lose their virginity doesnt mean they are emotionally ready for it....

I say 17-20 for guys and gals, at 13 or 14 you aren't aware of everything that is going on to make a decision like that.
