wow man, u must be from the sticks man. latinos were and are part of the whole hip hop scene in ny way back in the day, from breakdancin to dj'in to emcee'in. and in ny hip hop gear is mainstream, its not like an alternative lifestyle where you hang out the mall, its just what every kid wears growin up in ny, not because theyre tryin to be hip hop, its just what all the stores sell.
