Im not talking bout record sells...the question said who set the best blueprint if you go by that i would say fif considering each venture he has took on and how everyone wants to get money like him...Fif was business minded and did everything the right way from jump on the business side of thing thats why he made so much so quick so as far as blueprint i would say fif and he did it in the shortest amount of time.
I would have to say Master P 'cause out of all of them he was the only one to begin truly independent. When he did reached the mainstream, his company was the first to gross over 350 mil in one year. Do ya history. I gotta give props to Wu-tang too 'cause they were really the first to promote their own label but they just weren't grossing as much as P.
How come noone mentioned Dre??... Dre built Deathrow and Aftermath..so basically he put 2pac on another level, Eminem is multi-platinum, 50 is multi-platinum, Game went multi-platinum once, and he put Xzibit on, Snoop on, gave busta hits, eve hits, gwen stefani hits..the list goes on...so I say Dre built the better blueprint...
Dre did do alot in the game
But who kept Snoop Dogg in the game after he left Deathrow
and kept the gangsta image strong in the rap game
after Dre chilled out to get his label running again
Master P kept Snoop going i'll give you that but what he did is that he rebounded on an artist that was already hot..it's like a middleman type of deal.. After almost two decades in the game Dre is the only one who is still relevant!!!...He made Forbes 2008's highest earners..just on royalty and beats!.. and he just came out with those headphones.. Dre's been the posterboy..
Dre is still relevant true
but master P showed that the independant label route was better than a major label if u wanted that big paper and showed how to market the name of your label towards other ventures like 50 is doing with the g Unit name. Also with a independant label you could drop as many as u wanted in a year
People gonna think I'm crazy for this but I gotta say Master P. He promoted every artist on his lable in the booklets and dropped so many damn people its unreal they had some talent over there with Slim, Mac, Fiend , Mystikal, and Magic. But it just got played out and old and went all over the place
The kid need Sha Money back. He need his good ears to say this is your lane and thats hot. Creating music but not releasing anything means u a lil confused. Admit that first then get that person to help you find ya niche
