Before I Self Destruct Listening session for fans

See this is exactly what I am talking about. Now suppose non of these beats even make it on Before I self destruct right, and some songs fans end up not liking do make it own there? NOw if a plan like this that I have proposed was used as part of the process to make a album, we'd have a better chance, as fans, to get the best songs, and even put 50 back on top. I mean, I know most songs 50 record are gonna be straight because he is a hook specialist, a good rapper, and knows how to pick beats. However, it is tricky picking all the best stuff that fans will want to hear over and over. Thus, if we were included in on the process, he is bound to have a better overall lineup of songs on the album. I mean 50 is gonna do him and record a shit load of hot tracks and all that, but it is still tricky to try and guess what fans would want to hear and what songs should truly make the final cut. Why not include the fans on the process? feel me?

I wonder with this plan, would the new get up song by 50 have made the cut by fans. MOst people liked it, so it probably would have.

This one is a no brainer of course a listening party would be the best way to separte the fire from the mediocre. This should've been implemented along time ago with actual fans instead of label heads. I mean we are the consumer and chances are we already know what we wanna hear and..........customer is always right...right? I always thought when clubs would advertise "artist listening parties" that something similar would go down ...silly MEME..My only concern with this would be how would you weed out the haters from the tried and the true fans. Im sure there will be peops there to merely sabotage something positive..

Exactly. exactly. I see what you are saying. As for the haters? I have one thing to say about that: thisis50.com. This is all they would need to select people. You only allow those with authentic thisis50 accounts to be entered into a drawing to attend the listening party. I mean it would only be those who have profiles that are active at least 10 times a week. And you would have had to had that profile within the last 6 monts of the selection process. So if you are on thisis50.com steady using different names constantly, aint no way i hell you will qualify. Once you do that and you select the winners, you check they profiles to see the types of post they make. It wont be hard to tell if they are haters or not. I mean its not that hard to figure out who the haters are. Then again, why not make haters a part of the process too. Hell, select 20 people who hate 50's guts, but love music. If its hot its hot. Even the haters can admitt when a song is fire, I dont give a shit who the artist is. Obviously for the haters it will be a lil different. You let them listen and you tell them even though they hate 50 is there any one of the songs that they might listen to or they think is hot. If they dont pick non of the songs, then fuck them. Aint nothing lost. If 80 out of 100 fans think # 2, 3, 7, and 11, are definitely keepers but haters think everything they heard was wack, it is still clear what direction the album should go in as far as songs to be included right? 80 people cant be fucking wrong. If they all listened to 48 possible album songs and were told to pick the 10 illest joints, and the same songs keep getting picked, thats a no brainer right? Put that shit on the album. If its one thing, the fans do know.

You know why we still waiting on the album...... I dont care who you are.......50cent, dr. dre, eminem, jay z, kanye west, nas, etc etc, you can take as long as you want or as short as you want, but you just never know what will be recieved best by the fans. I mean yeah they should put out what their hearts desire, but at the same time they cant be disappointed if the response is not great. My thing is, if your gonna make 100 damn songs and keep making songs on top of that and you say you will pick 15-20 of those tracks for your album the difference in what you do and dont choose can mean the difference in having a classic album and an ok album. We are in new times where people can listen to what they want and by the 4 songs they like off your album. We have to catch up. So what would be wrong with having a truly productive listening session like the one I proposed. Just think how different Kingdom come or before I self destruct or some of our other favorite artist works would have turned out if they went about the process differently.

With all this rucus going on with this album now, this idea that I planned/mentioned a long time ago is really needed now. We now have a BISD leak, and we got snippets floating around thats hotter than a lot of the songs on the leak and none of the snippets were on the leak. I just hope 50 picked the right beats. Whether or not the leak is official, his lyrics were flawless, however, most of those beats on that leak doesnt have any staying power. 50 really has a good chance of out-doing GRODT. Listening to the leak clearly shows that lyrically, he smashed GRODT. However, whether or not he completely out-does GRODT, will depend on the beats, because so far, the beats on GRODT still got the upper-hand over the beats on this leak. My heart tells me that this leak is not the official album. Only time will tell though.

but I like all 50 albums even Curtis went hard 2 it had sum good Shit But

Im with you on that though. Curtis was definitely hard too. I can appreciate what 50 gives us because thats how I stay a true fan. I just bet its a hard process trying to decide what songs will make the final cut on the actual album. I think 50 is surrounded by great people, but I think he needs fresh perspectives. I dont know if 50 picks what makes the final cut by himself or with others, but I think with this plan I mentioned, it will take the guess work out of " from all these tracks which will the fans think are the best and want to hear over and over?" Why not include the fans to take that guesswork out of it.
