WTF is this world coming to ??? The Official Child Abuse Awareness Thread ! DO YOU CARE ? ? ?
I am hoping everyone will get involved..
sure its fun to goof off on here..
but its about time everyone on here..
gets serious about one thing..
and that is stopping child abuse ..
Keep your eyes n your hearts open to children..
cause they are our future..
I am a survivor of physical, verbal, emotional and sexual abuse..
I have risen above it all to raise two beautiful and healthy kids..
I have never abused my children and have educated them
about the abuse that I and others have sufferered..
As a result they seem to find the abused kids at school and befriend them..
and bring them home many times..
It still amazes me to this day that teachers who teach the children
in public schools
can ignore the signs...
Lets all do something together..
NO matter who ya favorite rapper is ..
NO matter what ..
The kids need us to !

then really u arent someone i care to have responding..
cause im one who truly cares and plans to do something to help

yes it is...
many times abusers (men) who abuse women
will use animals as pawns in their abuse of the woman..
they will abuse the animals in front of the women to scare / upset the women
into doing what they want..
its a horrible cycle really ..
i just don't get it !!

if ya read back .. we have shared stories of kids n disciplining..
there are so many ways to discipline your kids without ever laying your hands on them..
my hands are for love and hugs .. not causing my babies pain ...
and i say babies but they aint babies no more...
my words are to be for encouragement .. not breaking down...
my sister used to have a good saying. .
she used it on others in our family ..
even my nephew's own sister..

THAT'S MY CHILD'S SELF ESTEEM YOU ARE DESTROYING..
violence only breeds more violence..
you hit your kids..
they hit others ..
its a proven fact..
there are so many other ways to deal with kids and their normal ways of being ..
their normal (and ok to be that way) childish ways..
they are kids .. they look to us for direction..
and if we are going to break the cycle..
we have to lead by example..
not hitting each other.. or yelling at each other..
not hitting them or saying things to just hurt them...
its just wrong ..

another thing i have always tried to do
is tell my kids .. i am disappointed in your behavior..
im not disappointed in the child ..
im disappointed in the way they acted...
there is a difference..
and especially if you explain the difference to them...
ii hear people talk to their kids horribly .
i think to myself..
how would they feel if i walked up to them
and started talking to them .. like they are talking to their kids..
that s*** does damage to kids too ..

for sure..i give 10buck a week to the childrens refuge here in nz..and i buy toys and s*** for the kids living in my old foster home..man the kids love it..yall go out buy a cheap toy and give it to them itll make ya feel good when u see them lil faces smile..
