RAKIM OVERATED?
Before the hate starts Rakim was definently ahead of his time no doubt, but since Paid in Full what other classic material has he made? S*** matter of fact what classic collab or feature has he had.......ever? He not top five material.

Rakim was an orignator of today's rap game. He's an icon. He was pre-Pac, pre-Biggie, pre-Dre...those n*ggas were influenced by him and Eric B.
Don't come on "thisis50" comparing 80's rap to artists of '08...you know how ignorant you sound? Just like there would be no Kobe without Jordan...there would be no 50 without Rakim.

I was fair and unbias. Rakim is the Father on alot of levels but as it is every fathers wish that his son surpasses him, and that's what happened. Yall niggas got the game f***** up.
Snoop and Cube earned they spot plus they been around mad long and still relevant. who in the hell is really gonna go cop a new Rakim album? After the 18th Letter da god is a wrap.
And if niggas is dead how can they be number one I don't get that they not adding new s*** to the game they music is timeless but its also stuck in it's time period.

Rakim is over rated on every list I've ever seen. He is dope, without a doubt, but even for back in the day Big Daddy Kane and KRS-1 was way better in every aspect. Now to ur list, I don't know about Lil Wayne being on a top 10 list, and i'm not a 50 groupie at all, but at least he has a classic. Lil Wayne doesn't have a classic song or album. He isn't even the best out now. I would put LL up there, just because he has every thing said ur list consisted of.
