I think half of those single women chose 2 b single! Then 2 a lot of us brothas found a white, puerto rican, or latino woman that wants 2 understand us...b down 4 us...contribute 2 us...& b faithful(very few) 2 us. So...yea its not lookin 2 good 4 my sistaz!

I THINK IN MY OPINION FIRST THINGS FIRST LETS STOP ALL THE NAME CALLING BECAUSE ITS REALLY GETTING VISUALLY ANNOYING AS WELL AS HEARING IT. I THINK MANY BLACK WOMAN ARE SINGLE BECAUSE OF THE PRISON INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX SYSTEM WHICH AMERICA HAS BECOME. I THINK ANOTHER REASON IS BECAUSE OF HIGH GAS PRICES, ILLEGAL IMMIGRATIONS, DRUGS WARS,TERRORISM,UNEMPLOYMENT,DOMESTIC VIOLENCE,TAXES AS WELL AS BLACK ON BLACK CRIME WHICH CAUSE SO MANY BLACK MEN TO BECOME ABSENT IN THE HOME LEAVING BLACK WOMAN TO RAISE OUR FAMILIES WHICH AINT GOOD BECAUSE OUR CHILDREN NEED OUR FATHERS I GREW UP PARENTLESS SO I KNOW FIRST HAND WHY BLACK WOMAN ARE SINGLE I EXPEREIENCED ALL THIS S*** AND THE REASON WHY BLACK WOMAN ARE SINGLE BUT ANYBODY CAN EXPLAIN FROM THERE OWN POINT OF VIEW BUT THIS IS MY TAKE ON THE ISSUES AT HAND. black women are single because of many reasons and both sides are at fault
MEN
1. jail
2. gay
3. married
4. unsuccessful
5. just corny

WOMEN
1. attitude
2. "indepenent strong black woman syndrome". For some reason black women think "strength" is a constant power struggle of opinions & ideas. True strength comes in the form of being humble & some black men find that in other races.
3. not recognizing the struggle, the struggle black men & women face is parallel but not the same. Just to give you an example of what black men are up against, statistics are taken on how many black boys fail standardized tests in the 3rd grade to determine how many jail to build. There was a point in time that black women did acknowledge that struggle(up until the 1990's) & sad to say that is no more.

Black men we have to admit that we play a major role in the reason why that there are 70% of African American women are single. We enter relationships knowing damn well the s*** aint gonna last. So we decide to cheat.Females we give you signs there gonna cheat but you fail to pay attention to them. To fix this problem we both have to be Honest.

Wow I love black people we never question a source. Never trust your first source especially Oprah who despises black men.

The people who originally reported the statistic(Washington Post) wrote an article about Black women in the Professional world

70% of black women with a masters degree and up are not married. Not 70% of the entire black female population.

kk that's still bad though 70% of black women with masters degree are single I guess because there educated they get into that independant woman s*** but ten times more extreme thinkin they don't need a man to look after in any way or form

I don't know in graduate school you barely find many african americans in general and then you have women who only date black men(which is stupid), but want them to be on the same level education wise, and then they may have the attitude you speak of so then that makes it harder.
