I CAN RELATE TO THIS...I FELT AFTER THE DEATH OF MY BEST FRIEND THAT FRIENDSHIPS WERE OVER. SINCE THEN I HAVE ONLY COME ACROSS PEOPLE FILLED WITH HATE, JEALOUSY, AND ENVY.PEOPLE THAT ARE JUST MISERABLE. YOU KNOW HOW IT LOVES COMPANY. SMILE IN YOUR FACE ONE MINUTE WHILE STABBING YOU IN THE CHEST. I HOPE TO ONE DAY AT LEAST FIND ONE PERSON I CAN RELY AND TRUST IN AND IF NOT IT JUST IS NOT MEANT TO BE. WE WILL SEE...

I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT I WELCOME OTHERS WITH OPEN ARMS. YET, I AM VERY GUARDED WHEN I DO SO. TRUST IS SOMETHING THAT YOU EARN OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. THEREFORE, SOMETIMES MY CAUTIOUS NATURE...IS CONSTRUDE AS BEING VERY CLOSED. THIS IS THE ONLY LINE OF DEFENSE I HAVE TO PROTECT MYSELF. THOSE THAT TAKE THE TIME AND EARN THE TRUST...WELL THEY WILL BE AROUND. PERSONALLY, I HAVE NOT HAD ALOT OF LUCK IN THIS DEPARTMENT. FOR EXAMPLE, I BEFRIENDED WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A GOOD PERSON FOR OVER TEN YEARS. DURING THIS TIME SHE MALICOUSLY SLANDERED MY NAME, OR TRIED TO CREATED PROBLEMS TO MAKE ME MISERABLE IN ORDER FOR ME TO JUMP ON HER MISERY BAND WAGON, IN HOPES OF ME ALIENATING MYSELF NOT ONLY FROM OTHERS,BUT, HER TOO EVENTUALLY. IN THE END I WALKED AWAY MAD AND ANGRY AT MYSELF FOR ALLOWING THIS TO TAKE PLACE. I WANTED TO BELIEVE SHE WAS A GOOD PERSON AND THIS COULDN'T BE. I WAS IN DENIAL, I WANTED TO THINK MY FRIEND WAS BETTER THEN THAT. I WAS WRONG. WELL, LIKE THE SAYING GOES" YOU CAN ONLY BEAT A DOG FOR SO LONG, UNTIL THE DOG EITHER BITES YOUR ASS OR RUNS AWAY". AS A RESULT EVEN DOG IS APPREHENSIVE WHEN FACED WITH THE UNKNOWN. IT IS I BELIEVE HUMAN INSTINCT TO BECOME LESS TRUSTWORTHY OF ALL OVER A PERIOD OVER TIME. AT LEAST I FEEL THAT WAY..MAYBE IT IS WRONG...WHO KNOWS.

man i feel like taking some of you guys in here and giving you some friendship applications...lol...and agape once again u spoke the truth..I have been on the end of one sided friendships very a many times to the point that i to once felt like there was no point in trying to count on any of them..but that s*** changed for me..and i no longer had what I call sunshine friends and had rainy day friends as well...but i do think you cant go looking for it and trying to make every friend a true friend because reality is that everyone will not be your true friend...and you will only get yourself a world of dissappointment every time you are wrong..Just have fun with people and eventually some will stand out more that others..don't expect anything from anyone and when you least expect it you will go through some hard s*** or just need to talk and those people will step up or step back and with no words having to be said you will know your true people..whether it be family or not

hey hun, i just lost my dad and let me tell you death is for sure an awakening. I found out that my family are pretty much my only friends because i define friends as people who are there for you in your time's of need. it seems to me that people are so caught up in themselves that they never take the time to consider what someone else in his/her life is dealing with or going through. on the other hand it also show's me that i have somethings that i need to work on if i want better people in my life.

i know what you are saying..my best friend lost her mom and her grandmother from one year to the next...and she learned who really si there for her and not as well as going through some other s*** in between both losses....everyone is different ya know i have faith in my friends cuz the s*** i have been through they have been there for me...like my home girl had her cousin tell her how did you not let me in the limo at your mothers funeral...thats crazy to dwell on such trivial s*** instead of just being there ya know....and you are absolutely correct a true friend should be there for you not only when s*** is good but when s*** gets rough if u ain't there when i need you to be then i don't need u to be there when i dont...but not every person in your life will be a true friend some are just around to hang out with and what not ( at least thats how i look at it)...s*** i have a 50 cent friend....lol..basically we hang out when its time to go to a show..and thats not to say she's not my friend but i just don't call on her for more profound s***..it worked for me..idk..lol she cant disappoint me because she has her duties so to speak..and I also think you have to take into account whats going on in your friends life to see how they can be there for you..like most of my friends now are married with kids so i cant expect them to go all out if i am going through crazy s*** because they have their own responsibilities that cant be necessarily put on hold....i don't know i have a couple of reasons why i think i was able to find the friends that i did and one of them is chance.. but i di have people in my life who are soo caught up in their own lives and get mad at you because you aren't constantly making sure they are ok but never take the time to ask if you are and that always makes me laugh...they are around when i am bored..lol...at one point in time they were really good friends but time has changed that....but no hard feelings it just is what it is..I also only had one brother who is 7 years older than me so yeah we are close but we never really had the opportunity to hang out as friends..i tagged along tons when i was a teenager but it wasn't the same as having your friends..again idk i have a different outlook because i was lucky to have found great friends..even if its just a couple..or even one

thank God for my mother, my 5 sisters and my 5 brothers. thank God for my cousins and those who are cousins due to my family adopting them. to everyone else may God teach you sympathy and empathy for others.
