OPEN THANK YOU LETTER TO 50 CENT, TONY YAYO, AND LLOYD BANKS

To the G-Unit and all of the staff at thisis50 and G-Unit records and G-Unit radio:

First off this letter is for who it is addressed to. Its not for haters and naysayers to comment on. But I know they will because otherwise their not doing their job. Initially the letter was inspired by a conversation I had with my girlfriend earlier today. Before T.O.S even dropped she wanted to write her own letter of thanks and actually send it in to your offices, but after our convo we had, I decided why not just give it a shot on the internet tip.

Anyway, my girlfriend and I been together basically ten years and we both grew up during the best eras of hip hop culture and music. You know, B.I.G, Pac, Jay, N.W.A, Wu, Nas, Dr.Dre, Snoop, Eminem, DMX, Redman, etc. Now, my girlfriend isnt down with all this internet bloggin s***. She's straight out the hood the roughest of hoods B-More Park Heights. We both are, but I'm down with this internet bloggin b******* more than she is. Of course she's intelligent and hasn't let her environment determine how she's going to live for the rest of her life, but she suggested that I should write the letter.

Point being, I explained what was going on over the net for the past few days in reference to the G-Unit hate and T.O.S numbers ordeal she became rather upset. She told me the same s*** was going on in her circles as far as her job's co-workers and her friends she hangs with from time to time.

Every one she tried to put on to T.O.S basically replied with:

"What? G-Unit?! Nobody f**** with them any more"!

After actually buying and hearing T.O.S and still continuing to hear this from these people, she's starting to take it personal. She explained to me that people declaring to her that "G-Unit is b*******" is an insult to her intelligence because she knows damn well she's not sittin up listening to wack music. And the alternatives that those people suggest to her like Plies, Lil Wayne, and Gucci Mane, make her even more upset, because as far as she's concerned how is there even a comparison? I definitely agree.

But, then she hit me with the question...WHY DO PEOPLE HATE G-UNIT SO MUCH?

I got theories, but I told her "We bought got their CDs and that's all that counts. Its nothing else we can really do. Its no ones fault that people didn't go out and snatch it up all crazy, other people are just missing out...terribly ".

Of course, she replied with:

"Well that isnt enough!! Those dudes are successful and have money. They aint got to make another damn song or video. And if they decide that, what happens then? We going to have to listen to Plies and Lil Wayne?!! F*** Dat!! Who's going to give us that s*** we want to hear? DMX is done, he's on crack. Nas wants to rap over pianos with no beat. I'm not a Jay-z fan like that, so if G-Unit stop making new bangers, what do we have left? F*** that Gucci Mane and Shawty Lo s***!!"

Yup her exact words. And that's why she's wifey. LOL Anyway, she wanted to really thank you guys for everything that you do. Giving us entertainment and music just to get through the every day hustle. She doesn't want ya'll music to end, because all she will have is the old classic s*** to listen to. What's crazy is before I put her on last year to "Curtis" and told her that 50 was still making new good s***, all she would listen to was old classic s***. Once I put her on to all the recent G-Unit Radios and Whoo Kid tapes, she's been hooked.

So when I told her the first week numbers for T.O.S, she really wanted to express her gratitude ASAP and that she appreciates what ya'll do and understands ya'll aint got to do a damn thing, but ya'll doing the damn thing anyway. I wrote this letter for her because I basically agree and thought this blogging s*** may get to ya'll faster. I know ya'll are busy but this is just a letter of thanks from both us when ya'll do get the time to read it.

Thanks Again and keep up the good work!

Sincerely,
Max and Crissy

"You So Tough" is definitely wishful thinking. Which one of these video countdown shows on either MTV or BET would play that. They wont even play Rider like that.

I think people need to just understand that this generation's hip hop community is no longer receptive to the bad guy.

Remember when Eminem used to s*** on N-Sync and Brittany Spears for them being too pop and their music appealing to teeny boppers. Well at that time you could do that without being considered a hater it was just Eminem expressing himself.

Now 50's basically doing the same in "You So Tough" questioning how you get off free after being caught with 12 machine guns. In these days and times people are saying this was just a tactic to sell records and stir beef. So tell me how is a video like this going to get air play?
where do i sign?
Thank you to everyone that supported this thread and read my story.
I'll show this to my girl tomorrow. Hopefully she'll feel better. Cause she was pissed.
I had to explain to her that I'm used to it with the reviews and the Sohh editorials and all the muthafuckaz who be postin hate s*** here. But her, she's not use to that s***. We came up in an era where you liked what you liked and you didnt just follow s*** cause everybody was sayin its hot. The music had to be GENUINELY FIRE for it to be co-signed.

Now if MTV says he's number one, you got people that say "Hey I guess their right, we even heard HIM say he was number one". Biggie never said he was the greatest to my knowledge, that title was given to him by the fans and the hip hop community. If Wayne says, "Everybody go get that Plies, I like it" and it does better than T.O.S the first week, then really the days are numbered before that's all we got to choose from.
Cause the Unit could easily say "WHAT?! F*** all ya'll, We rich b**** and we out!"

There are not many fans left and hip hop community people left. Just robots, zombies, and sheep. Thanks again to all the hip hop bloggers for reading and count your muthafucking blessings.
I'm with you Max and Crissy.

Nobody besides G-Unit provides a better variety of subjects in their music. When they talk about money, its dope. When they talk about drugs, its dope. When they talk about woman, its dope. When they talk about life, its dope. No one can give us what G-Unit gives us. They bring the charasmatic, witty, gritty, depth, and meaning to their music. Other artists aren't as balanced. G-Unit is that force to be reckoned with. And you and your wifey aint the only ones that appreciate G-Unit, yall aint alone. Lol. I'm proud of their numbers to be completely honest with you. 102,000 is good when they had no love from BET, no support from Interscope, and no promotion from the mainstream media period. They did good for themselves. And honestly I haven't heard any hate from the radio stations because they all agree that TOS is a classic and that their label f***** them over. G-Unit is the TRUTH and 50 Cent is the FUTURE. We'd be lost without them.
@ Max

I co-sign that last comment. Wayne is the SELF PROCLAIMED (I REPEAT) SELF PROCLAIMED "Best Rapper Alive". Nobody gave him that title. But a lot of people up here (and 90% of this country) are CROWD FOLLOWERS. So as soon as BET co-signed Waynes statement, niggas were jumping on the bandwagon. F*** that, Wayne aint talented like that. The only reason I say his album is ok is just because my siblings (who are weezy fans) said its dope. But nah, I'm not agreeing anymore. TOS was just as good (in my opinion BETTER) than that weak s***** CD that was overrated and hyped up to be the greatest album of the year. F*** that b******* of words.

Excuse me, I'm mad though. Wayne can't be compared to 50 Cent. He hasn't accomplished 1/2 of the s*** Fif has. He isn't lyrical at all! His metaphors are simple, something my 1 year old nephew could come up with. He's OVERRATED. He's talented but damn not that talented.

(*breathes in and exhales*) I'm good now.
i agree with u bekky boo wholeheartedly !
